Lately, the Medal of Honor franchise has been in the shadow of the FPS behemoth that is Call of Duty. 2010’s Medal of Honor reboot received generally positive reviews and Electronic Arts aims to eclipse that with Medal of Honor: Warfighter. To set the game apart from all of the rest of the war shooters in development, Warfighter introduces individual Tier-1 Operators that are crafted after real-world combat specialists. In the end, there will be 72 unlockable Operators from all over the world, each with their own unique skill set and weapons.
Not to be upstaged by Sony and Ubisoft, Electronic Arts has also had a strong showing at this year’s E3, as the likes of Dead Space 3, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Crysis 3 are sure to excite gamers.
Our only complaint is that all of the games shown were sequels to existing franchises. Everyone loves a good sequel, but it would have been nice to see EA show off some new interlectual property. Well, that or Mirror’s Edge 2.
But we digress; on with the trailers…
Motorstorm RC has a new contender on the PlayStation 3, not Vita, as of yesterday. Bang Bang Racing is a top-down super-deformed racing game that borrows a lot from several other racing games and rolls them into this one neat little game for $9.99. Does it have what it takes to cross the finish line?
It has to said that Ubisoft had a terrific conference at E3. This was partly because it was presented by comedienne Aisha Tyler, but mainly because the company has arguably the strongest lineup of games of all third-party publishers.
With blockbuster titles like Assassin’s Creed III, Far Cry 3, and the newly announced Watch Dogs, Ubisoft fans have a lot to look forward to over the next year and beyond. So, let’s get cracking with the trailers, shall we?
In the God of War series, Kratos has always ventured alone in his travels to destroy the gods. The upcoming God of War: Ascension introduces the franchise to an all-new multiplayer component that combines the brutality and bloodshed the games are known for with competitive eight player mayhem.

Sony announced before E3 that they would unveil the “future of PS Plus”, and that is exactly what they did during their keynote speech. It wasn’t quite as revolutionary as some of the rumours had predicted. There was no cloud streaming service announced, for example.
What we did get however, while not as headline catching, was fantastic news for all PS3 owners. As of today in the US and tomorrow in the UK, an Instant Game Collection will be available for all PS Plus members. This is an ever-expanding library of free games – worth over $260 (in the US at least).
Ubisoft has closed the doors on their 2012 E3 press conference and open the doors to a new Splinter Cell game on PlayStation 3. Coming spring 2013, can’t get any more tentative really, Splinter Cell: Blacklist aims to rectify the lack of Sam Fisher on our XMB toting blu-ray disc console. PS3 may not have had Conviction, but it will get a Blacklist.

Note: spoilers ahead for those who haven’t finished Lords of Shadow 1.
It’s less than 24 hours now until the start of Sony’s E3 conference. The show will see Sony outline new games and services, and judging by a message on us.playstation.com, a new PlayStation Plus.
We’ve heard everyone list their top 10 most likely, most requested, or most wanted PlayStation characters for the upcoming PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Now lets talk about the PlayStation characters we don’t want to see. Wouldn’t it be funny if these characters made it into the game?
