Angry Birds Trilogy pinging on to PS3 this holiday
Housemarque, developers of Outland and Super Stardust HD, are teaming up with Rovio to bring Angry Birds to the PS3 complete with PS Move support.
The news came earlier this week, but we still thought it was worthwhile getting this news up, if only for the cheap puns.
The compilation of Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio will be in HD and will form the Angry Birds Trilogy.
The trilogy will be arriving on the PS3 in the holiday season, for those who feel that they haven’t blown up enough birds and pigs yet and need to see the feathery explosions in HD.
In an interview with IGN, Petri Järvilehto, executive vice president of Rovio, said that:
“You can think of the game as the ultimate collector’s edition… There are new cinematics, extras and other entertaining content. In addition all of the existing material has been uprezzed and re-treated for the high-resolution and big screen.”
It’s not cheep at $39.99, but Activision has said that it’s being “built from the ground up”, so it may well be something you’d want to tweet about to all of your friends.
