New Injustice: Gods Among Us trailer showcases Nightwing and Cyborg

Hi res DCF screens 7 2 2012 125 e1342193001578 New Injustice: Gods Among Us trailer showcases Nightwing and CyborgFresh from Comic-Con comes a new trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us and it reveals the two newest characters to join NetherRealm Studios’ upcoming DC fighter, Nightwing and Cyborg.

Nightwing, who most recently made an appearance in Batman: Arkham City, brings his signature staff to battle which can be used as a melee extending weapon or broken into two batons for a more agile fighting stance. Cyborg, on the other hand, is more of a heavy hitter and is capable of dealing extensive damage through his advanced weaponry. One of his attacks involves a massive energy burst, similar to that of Iron Man’s Proton Cannon Super from the Marvel vs. Capcom series.

The story for Injustice is still under wraps but a new video has been released detailing that the world is in chaos after a recent event that killed millions. Two types of survivors have emerged from the rubble; those who have stepped forward to pick up the pieces and those who have succumbed to corruption. It sounds like the beginning of a new war between heroes and villains to us. Watch the video for yourself, and let us know what you think.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is currently scheduled for a 2013 release. Nightwing and Cyborg join the already announced roster of  Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman. Which DC characters do you hope NetherRealm Studios will announce next?
