DSC 0049 e1342383502973 Mad Catz Unveiled: Alex Verrey discusses hardware, community and gamesOn Friday 13 July, PS3 Attitude went along to the Mad Catz Unveiled community event at the Penthouse on Leicester Square, London.

It was an enjoyable event, attended by lots of fans. It showcased the company’s latest hardware and there were competitions with excellent prizes up for grabs.

It also gave us the opportunity to corner Alex  “Big Boy” Verrey, the global PR & communications manager at Mad Catz. We discussed the company’s upcoming line-up of hardware and games and got some insight into where it is heading in the mid- to long-term future.

Have a listen:

During the interview, Verrey mentioned some upcoming products that we can look forward to, such as the Kunai headset range and the Pacific AV8R FlightStick.

Kunai is a new range of entry-level stereo headsets that Mad Catz is bringing to the market under its Tritton audio brand.

These wired headsets will feature a detachable mic and an inline control.

They are available for PS3 and PS Vita and offer a good sound quality for the price range.

Pacific AV8R FlightStick

This flight stick is styled after a WWII combat aircraft. It is designed by Saitek, which is a Pacific AV8R FlightStick1 e1342561068212 Mad Catz Unveiled: Alex Verrey discusses hardware, community and gamesdivision at Mad Catz that specialises in professional simulator flight sticks, so you can be confident that this is a well built and robust stick.

The flight stick features a soft-touch rubber finish and a grip similar to those found in historic military planes.

Mad Catz is bundling the flight stick alongside Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII, the company’s upcoming flight arcade game which is due out in August.
