Marvel vs. Capcom Origins brings two arcade classics to home consoles this September

Marvel vs. Capcom Origins brings together both Marvel Super Heroes and the original Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of the Super Heroes to the PSN and Xbox Live later this September, Capcom announced today.

Originally released to arcades in 1995, Marvel Super Heroes features 12 super heroes and villains in one-on-one matches across the Marvel Universe. Unique to the game are the Infinity Gems (Power, Time, Space, Reality, Soul and Mind), which act as power-ups and can be activated upon meeting certain conditions. 1998’s Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes boosted the roster to 18 characters that spanned across both Marvel and Capcom franchises to include the likes of Mega Man, Morrigan, and Strider.

Both titles will be getting a downloadable makeover, ala Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition, and will feature GGPO-enhanced online play with 8-player lobbies and spectator mode, HD graphical upgrades, dynamic challenges and replay saving. All of it for the price of $14.99/€14.99/£11.99.
