Ni no Kuni announces Kickstarter-esque pre-order program

Submitted by on Thursday, 19 July 2012No Comment

The recently announce Wizard’s Edition of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch may be getting additional bonus items thanks to the newly launched program called Ninostarter, according to Namco Bandai Games.

Ninostarter is a Kickstarter-like program that will keep track of all pre-orders for the Ni no Kuni – Wizards Edition placed through Namco Bandai’s own clubNAMCO website. As the number of pre-orders increases, certain goal milestones will be reached and additional bonus content will be added to the special edition. What these goals and additional content are have yet to be revealed but Pre-Order Goal #1 is already 35% complete.

Currently, the Wizard’s Edition of Ni no Kuni includes a physical copy of The Wizard’s Companion, a plush Drippy doll and exclusive “golden drongo” and “golden mite” DLC familiars. The Ninostarter campaign will last for 42 more days until August 31, 2012. Unfortunately, the program is only open to U.S. residents too.

Does the possibility of more content entice you enough to pre-order the game? What are your thoughts of the new Kickstarter-esque program? Let us know in the comments!
