Rock Band Blitz available for download on August 28; new songs announced

Rock Band Blitz will be available to download on the PlayStation Network for $14.99 on August 28, Harmonix announced today.

Taking the Rock Band franchise in a new direction, Blitz features notes laid across five lanes and requires players to match as many of them as possible with the controller to score the most points. That’s right, Rock Band Blitz doesn’t need a fancy music instrument peripheral to be played. You’re regular controller will do just fine.

Cole, Jak and Daxter join the fight in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

SuperBot have announced that Sony favourites Cole MacGrath and Jak and Daxter will be playable characters in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

It seems that Daxter will be an extension of Jak’s move list rather than being a separate playable character but we don’t think anybody expected any different considering that the furry fuzzball is happy to let Jak do the fighting.

Alongside Sonic, and the recently announced Danica Patrick and Joe Musashi, comes Wreck-It Ralph ready to transform his video game based movie presence into a real video game appearance. Wreck-It Ralph is the starring antagonist of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ next full length animated theatrical release of which bears the same name in both the movie and the fictional video game. Is Sega overdoing it a little with all the cross advertising of video game characters?

UnoTelly UnoDNS products is a VPN service that allows your PS3 to pretend to be in a different country to the one it is really in.

I, Deadpool, will be in my very own video game

I’ve taken over High Moon Studios, the current developers of the Transformers games, though my game will feature much more ass kicking, bloodshed and much more awesome.

I hope they manage to get my witty, cocky attitude across and put my spectacular physique to good use.

5 characters that should buy more appropriate attire

From tiny outfits that provide no more protection than dental floss, to massive armour that even Chuck Norris would struggle walking in, it has to be said that costumes in videogames often look pretty ridiculous. In November, the Ratchet & Clank series will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, Sony has released The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy, which is now available in Europe and features HD versions of the three original PS2 games on one Blu-Ray disc.
