Amazon.com now advertising Cross Buy promotion for eligible PS3 titles
The perfectly amazing Cross Buy deal being extended to North America, and Europe according to Shuhei Yoshida, is about as awesome as PlayStation Plus. The last company we’d think would advertise the deal is Amazon, and yet they have done just that via Twitter.
Their tweet only broadcasts Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale as Cross Buy worthy pre-orders, likely due to the fact that the site isn’t currently showing anything on Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault. But Sony has confirmed that the upcoming Ratchet & Clank tower defense game will be part of the promotion.

Wouldn’t this put a bit of a damper in their Vita sales of these games? Typically, sales have slumped for retailers advertising a competitors deal. In this case, I can see an exception or possibly some kind of agreement between Sony and Amazon. After all, Amazon did sell PlayStation Network content and voucher codes for PS3 and PSP at one time, so they have a history of doing business together.
Amazon.co.uk is not currently sharing the deal on the site. Only time will tell if they decide to share the news with their European customers. Will this get you to pre-order from Amazon? Let us know in the comments section as usual.
