GC2012; Battlefield 3: Premium Edition coming to PS3 next month
Electronic Arts has announced Battlefield 3: Premium Edition, as part of the publisher’s Gamescom press conference earlier today. Intended for new players, it will include a copy of the game plus a subscription to Battlefield Premium and a few extra goodies.
For a single, one-time price, gamers can get their hands on Battlefield 3, along with the multiplayer expansion packs Back to Karkand and Close Quarters, as well as the upcoming Armored Kill (September 2012), Aftermath (December 2012) and End Game (March 2013).
And the extra goodies? That would be the Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Head-Start Kit, which is ‘custom-designed to help jump start players who are new to multiplayer by automatically unlocking 15 different weapons, gadgets and vehicle upgrades’. It would definitely be very overwhelming to jump into Battlefield 3 nearly a year after its original release, so hopefully this bonus will help even the odds.
Battlefield 3: Premium Edition will be released in North America on 11th September for $69.99, and in Europe on 13th September for €59.99.
