GC2012; Capcom reveals cyberpunk game Remember Me

Submitted by on Tuesday, 14 August 2012One Comment

Remember Me, a new IP from French developer DONTNOD Entertainment, has been revealed by Capcom.

It is a third-person sci-fi game that follows protagonist Nilin as she travels through futuristic Neo-Paris, 2084.

The reveal trailer, located below, tells us that Nilin can break in to people’s minds to alter and steal memories. The authorities had her arrested and wiped her memory as they were growing fearful of her capabilities but Nilin eventually escaped, wanting to know who she is.

With the help of her last remaining friend, she will search for her identity but will she ever find out? Not if the authorities have their way.

Have a look at the stunning reveal trailer below:

As shown in the trailer, Neo-Paris is reminiscent of the city in Mirror’s Edge where everything is seen and heard, where nothing is private or intimate.

Feel free to show Capcom your support overĀ at the game’s official Facebook page.

Capcom have said that they are aiming for a May 2013 release but have not specified a date.

What are your thoughts on the reveal trailer? We’re already rooting that Nilin can overthrow the city!
