The release date for Dead Space 3 has been solidified with it still releasing in February but now we can confirm that NA will get it on 5 February 2013, whilst the UK and the rest of Northern Europe will see it on the 8 February.

EA and Visceral Games have also revealed a new feature for the game – weapon crafting.This new feature should enhance gameplay by allowing you to blend two separate weapons in to one.

If you head over to the official Dead Space website, you can take part in a competition which allows you to present an idea for a new weapon by blending another two together and the winner will have the weapon featured in the game as well as their likeness on a poster or billboard.

Also up for grabs include the game itself, a t-shirt and a graphic novel. Not too shabby, eh?
