Gamescom 2012 trailer catchup – part 2
Throughout Gamescom week our inbox gets barraged by publishers pushing trailers. We can’t complain. We love them, and we know you do too.
That’s why we decided to collect our favourites and put them together in an article. It turned out we couldn’t narrow them down to 10, so we thought we might as well give you 37.
Here is part 2 of our trailer blowout.
ASSASSIN’S CREED 3
A sea battle? Yawn… actually, wait, this is good, very good. The navy battles are well designed and the controls are spot on.
ASSASSIN’S CREED 3: LIBERATION
Liberation will give you a proper Assassin’s Creed adventure on the go. Check out Aveline’s moves.
Capcom went into fan-pleasing mode at Gamescom by revealing Dante’s twin brother Vergil. We also got a glimpse of a new monster at the end. It’s big.
LOST PLANET 3
Didn’t like Lost Planet 2? Don’t worry, you weren’t alone. However, this promises to be different. In fact, it has an air of Dead Space about it.
STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN
It’s the awesome fighting game you enjoy on your PS3 but now you can fit it in your pocket (assuming you have big pockets).
Is this the year PES finally reclaims top spot? We ask this every year but Konami has been getting closer. PES 2012 was fantastic and this year should be too.
FIFA 13’s new first touch system should make games more unpredictable, separating the masters from the clangers. Watch this year’s cover star, Lionel Messi, show off his skills.
No controversial nuns in this trailer. No. This instead introduces Absolution’s create-a-contract mode.
Sackboy was everywhere at Gamescom – everywhere but in Media Molecule’s new game, Tearaway. This PS Vita title is set in a paper world. It looks super adorable (as expected) and very creative (also expected).
