Gamescom 2012 trailer catchup – part 3
Throughout Gamescom week our inbox gets barraged by publishers pushing trailers. We can’t complain. We love them, and we know you do too.
That’s why we decided to collect our favourites and put them together in an article. It turned out we couldn’t narrow them down to 10, so we thought we might as well give you 37.
Here is part 3 of our trailer blowout.
In this new game from Sony’s Studio Japan, you play as an invisible boy who only appears when wet. It’s very stylish.
Here is another one from Studio Japan. Puppeteer is set in a magical puppet theatre. It looks playful and eccentric, certainly different from anything the studio has created before.
RATCHET & CLANK: FULL FRONTAL ASSAULT
This is also coming to PS Vita. You can take advantage of Sony’s Cross Buy offer – buy the PS3 version, get the Vita ones free.
GOD OF WAR: ASCENSION
Having mastered epic singleplayer, Santa Monica Studio is now out to reinvent online multiplayer gaming.
PLAYSTATION ALL-STARS BATTLE ROYALE
All-Stars’ superstar line-up got a little fuller at Gamescom with the addition of Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet), Dante (DmC), Spike (Ape Escape) and Ratchet & Clank (er Ratchet & Clank).
Big LittleBigPlanet fan? Collected a massive wardrobe for your Sackboy or Sackgirl? Good news for you then. In LittleBigPlanet Karting, you can import your costumes over and look the bee’s knees as you skid round the track.
This isn’t a lazy spin-off; this is shaping up to be the real deal. LittleBigPlanet is perfect on a handheld.
SLY COOPER: THIEVES IN TIME
Sly is back! And thanks to a magical service called Cross Buy, you can get the PS Vita version free if you buy the PS3 version. Bargain.
CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS DECLASSIFIED
The team at Nihilistic will be out to prove to the world that they really are a top studio after the disappointing Resistance: Burning Skies. They couldn’t have asked for a bigger series. This features 4v4 competitive multiplayer over Wi-Fi.
TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2
Tekken World Federation is a new Call of Duty Elite-style premium service. It’s a community platform where Tekken players will track personal stats and manage teams with friends.
