John Cleese will narrate Smart As on Vita this fall
If there is anything that is for sure, its exactly how dumb John Cleese will make you feel if you fail a challenge in Smart As, the upcoming grey matter trainer for PS Vita. He has been confirmed to be the official narrator of Smart As, as the game has officially been penciled into our fall calendar for release.
As comedy troupes go, the UK’s Monty Python is one of the most famous in the world. Their story will be told for generations to come and John Cleese will always be one of the more recognized of the bunch. His voice is instantly recognized, though often he is cast in films for this reason, and SCE XDev Studio is destined to take full advantage of this.
Smart As will leverage John Cleese to deliver “intelligent and witty narration” to “encourage and sometimes tease” the player to improve. Similar to the way Stephen Fry narrates Sackboys and Sackgirls through the world of LittleBigPlanet, John Cleese will also be there on the menus, ever compelling you to stay atop your friend’s high scores.

This story reminds us a bit of what drove the same developer, SCE XDev Studio, to choose Mr. Miyagi as the sensei in Reality Fighters, also for the PS Vita. Are we detecting a pattern for SCE XDev Studio, or do you think we are going a little too far with the comparisons?
