Killzone Trilogy takes the fight to Helghan

Submitted by on Thursday, 6 September 2012No Comment

Sony and Guerilla Games has confirmed that the rumoured Killzone Trilogy exists and will be released later this Winter.

As the name suggests, the collection will include a HD version of Killzone 1 – complete with trophies – and the PS3 versions of Killzone 2 and 3.

Many Killzone fans jumped in at the second title and skipped the first so this will be a great way for those who haven’t played it to catch up. There is no word on a separate PSN release but we assume that there will be for those who already own the other fantastic Killzone titles.

All map packs previously released for Killzone 2 and 3 will be included and these are as follows:

Killzone 2 map packs

  • Steel & Titanium
  • Flash & Thunder
  • Napalm & Cordite

Killzone 3 map packs

  • Steel Rain
  • Retro
  • From the Ashes

With all of this bonus content, we fully recommend that you purchase the trilogy if you haven’t played any of the Killzone series before as they are outstanding and a great example of what the PS3 is capable of.

Suit up in your ISA gear and see what you’ll find on the planet of Helghan in the trailer below:

It will launch at an RRP of £40.84/£39.99/€49.99 on 23 October in North America and 24 October, 2012 in Europe.

Will you be getting the Killzone Trilogy? Let us know in the comments but in the meantime, feel free to look at the HD screenshots and boxarts below.
