PS3A PlayTime – week of 17 September, 2012
Come join us once a week where we prove that our spare time isn’t entirely consumed by pounding away at a keyboard, but also by mashing the buttons of our DualShock 3s and Vitas. So why not share with you a little bit about the games that we have found the time to play amidst our busy summer schedules.
LittleBigPlanet Vita is effectively maintaining its focus in the media thanks to cantered NA EU retail and digital releases, not to mention the copy issues that occurred in Europe. We visited the past, present, and future in the many PS3 Attitude posts this week. What is happening with WipEout? Two pretty awesome PS Store updates went live with all sorts of new wares. The future is bright for Sly Cooper, DmC, Dead Island. Take a look at the post of the past seven days:
Sony should be ‘more agressive’ at looking for cross-platform games, says Yoshida
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time spots a release date
DmC: Devil May Cry TGS trailer delves deeper in to Dante’s backstory
EU PlayStation Store Refresh: 19 September, 2012
Dead Island: Riptide reveals another breathtaking trailer
NA PlayStation Store Refresh: 18 September, 2012
Is the WipEout series still racing on?

What I’m playing: Gran Turismo 5, Everybody’s Golf, Treasures of Montezuma Blitz, Ecolibrium.
Accomplishments: I can’t decide if I’m enjoying Ecolibrium or bored with it. My game goes days without anything happening yet I’m aways popping in for a quick check on my Maanhares.
What I’m watching and reading: I watched Geoffrey Rush at his decadent best as the Marquis de Sade in Quills.

What I’m playing: Played a lot of Borderlands (the first one, not the second). Also got into the PlayStation All-Stars beta on the Vita, and the game is looking very sharp thus far. Oh, and of course Zen Pinball 2. That’s pretty much a weekly given now.
Accomplishments: Earned my 2300 trophy the other night. Am very close to Level 16, which I should hit within a few weeks or so.
What I’m watching and reading: Watched the second series of Sherlock (BBC). Fantastic show!

What I’m playing: Rayman Origins and LittleBigPlanet, both on Vita
Accomplishments: Literally just started LBP Vita so there’s not much to tell yet (although it is awesome!), but I did get the Rayman Origins platinum earlier in the week, which I’m pretty sure is the first game I’ve ever platinumed twice (excluding cross-buy games).
What I’m watching and reading: Still reminding myself how awesome season one of Lost is
KosmoCrisis
What I’m playing: Way of the Samurai 4 (PS3), Zen Pinball 2 (Vita), Pinball Arcade (Vita), Ratchet & Clank (PS3)
Accomplishments: Wrapped up several more Standard Goals trophies for Pinball Arcade table packs. Can’t wait for table pack 4 to drop tomorrow for US. Over took all my friends’ scores in Zen Pinball2 – I’m untouchable! Playing Ratchet & Clank is a magical nostalgic journey for me. Way of the Samurai 4 is so terribly frustrating, I can’t stop playing!
What I’m watching and reading: Watched Hunger Games. That’s it. Doing some shelf building in the garage. I don’t play less though.

What I’m playing: Borderlands 2 (offline and a lovely thresher maw told me how being alone was a mistake), Dead Rising 2 (online co-op), Dragon’s Dogma (offline), Double Dragon Neon (offline), Anomaly Warzone Earth (review up soon!) and the Dead or Alive and Resident Evil demos in preparation for the games’ release.
Accomplishments: Tip Mad Moxxi loads of money in Borderlands 2, you get a lovely vibrating surprise.
What I’m watching and reading: Reading Harry Potter, watched How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement, The Big Bang Theory.
