Nariko and Sir Daniel Fortesque get in on the action in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

Nariko and Sir Daniel Fortesque get in on the action in PlayStation All Stars Battle RoyaleSony has confirmed at PAX that Heavenly Sword’s Nariko and MediEvil’s Sir Daniel Fortesque will be joining the ever-growing cast of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

This is hot on the heels of the news that Evil Cole and Raiden will be joining the fight, too.

Nariko, first introduced to gamers in 2007, will be coming to big screen again to show that she still has what it takes to become a classic character.

Armed with her trademark heavenly sword, Nariko can easily string together combos with a mix of short and long range attacks including using a missile launcher and being able to use different stances during battle, as it was in the game, which will allow her sword to remain as it is or will extend itself through the use of chains.

In a stance, she may become more defensive which encourages the use of dodging, parrying and jumping or more offensive tactics will be encouraged such as juggling and continuing combos.

Her level 3 super sees Nariko using the power of the Goddess to wreak havoc on the battlefield with attacks inspired directly from her game Heavenly Sword.

Have a look at the redhead in action below:

Popular old school skeleton Sir Daniel Fortescue from MediEvil is also prepping for battle, fighting for his rightful place in the Hall of Heroes. Having made his debut 14 years ago with the highly successful MediEvil series, Sir Dan is ready to show the world why he was  popular in the first place, using his almighty chicken drumstick to beat his opponents.

Alongside his chicken drumstick are his axe, crossbow and various skeletal appendages such as his arm ready to use in battle. Also included will be his trademark broadsword and shield, allowing him to absorb damage to strengthen his attacks.

His super attacks will have a magic element as Dan will use his Golden Chalice, the power of his lightning orb and the superb power of nemesis Zarok’s Anubis Stone.

Watch Sir Dan make his way from the grave to join the battle:

With four new characters being announced at PAX, we may have to wait for Tokyo Game Show to see more reveals, or perhaps, whenever Sony are feeling generous enough to.
