Ubisoft has announced a new downloadable content pack for Assassin’s Creed III entitled “The Tyranny of King Washington” which explores an alternate reality in which George Washington becomes the king of America. God Save the King!

“As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the greatest hero of the revolution, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land our new hero must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.”

The three episodic content packs will be a part of the Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass, giving players access to a total of five single player/multiplayer content packs for $29.99. Those who purchase a Season Pass will receive savings upwards of 25% opposed to those who purchase the content individually. Not only that but Season Pass holders will have access to DLC an entire week before the rest of the public. How’s that for savings?

Assassin’s Creed III hits store shelves later this month on October 30 in North America and on October 31 in Europe. ”The Tyranny of King Washington” is scheduled to launch within the next six months as well, along with the other unannounced content packs of the Season Pass.
