Table Pack 5 coming soon to NA, new dates for EU…and more
The Pinball Arcade has had a few issues on PlayStation recently, creating a bit of confusion surrounding the delayed release of Table Pack 5 and the recent release of Table Pack 6. The folks at Farsight Studios utilized their monthly newsletter to set the record straight on a few important details.
First bit of news is release dates. In North America, a patch was submitted for the Vita a while ago and had actually failed SCEA’s approval process. This caused a ripple effect whereby Table Pack 5 wasn’t released for Vita or PS3, despite the fact that the PS3 version had no problems at all. Farsight stated it was Sony’s recommendation given the cross-buy entitlement of the content.
As of today, both the PS3 and Vita games have been updated and Table Pack 6 has been released. But Table Pack 5 is now delayed until 6 November. However, the software updates enabled the presence of the tables in the menus even though they cannot be purchased from the store until next week.
In Europe, Table Pack 5 is expected to arrive in the PlayStation Store on 7 November and Table Pack 6 is due on 21 November. There has been no mention of a release date for Table Pack 7, although both Scared Stiff and Big Shot tables are available on mobile OS platforms and PC/Mac right now.
Finally, the newsletter mentions the Twilight Zone table is coming in November. Also, in a roundabout way, they let slip that the Genie table will be coming to The Pinball Arcade. They included a photo of a few real pinball tables that they use when creating the digital version for the game. “We might end up revealing a table or two.”
