African Safari Classic DLC available for WRC 3 on PS3

Submitted by on Thursday, 6 December 2012No Comment

You may have noticed that WRC 3 was release in retail for PS3, yesterday on PSN for Vita in Europe, and now we find the trailer for new DLC available on the PS3 version. The Vita version was also released with its own DLC, but this African Safari Classic DLC is for big brother only.

If you happened to be a big fan of rally racing, you have a few options on PS3. There is of course the pure simulation of Gran Turismo 5 and its rather varied racing, which also includes rally cars and tracks. How about the Dirt series or the classic Colin McRae games for a concentrated dose of offroad rally racing. And then there is WRC, caught somewhere in the middle of the sim and the arcade racer.

The African Safari Classic DLC comes to PS3 loaded with all tropical weather you can handle. Prepare yourself for a video game version of an African sunset as you race across the orangey burnt savanas, lush forests, and native villages. It comes with two special stages called Kajiado and Marigat. And just in case you’re on the fence about whether to pick up the DLC, it will work in both single player and multiplayer modes.

It doesn’t seem likely that WRC 3 will get a North American release for PlayStation. Though, some of us at PS3Attitude sure would appreciate it. Have you picked up WRC 3? If so, let us know what your thoughts are on the progression of the series in the comments section below…
