The first trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has been revealed and it’s shaping up to be very different to previous instalments, but if there’s one thing that will never change in the Final Fantasy universe, it’s the brilliant costume designs.

As seen in the trailer below, there is an updated fighting system, platforming, towns and Lightning sliding down a pole. It seems Square Enix have realised that people find Lightning attractive!

Vincent Martella as Hope seems to be making a reappearance alongside Lightning’s voice actor Ali Hillis. The traditional XIII battle music has also received a remix that we hope still accompanies battles in-game.
