Milestone is planning to regale fans in the UK with the next in the MotoGP licensed motorcycle racing franchise. After four years, they’ve reacquired the license and expect to ship MotoGP 13 to PlayStation 3 and Vita sometime this year.
PQube handles UK publishing. The developer Milestone aims to rekindle MotoGP fans with a promise for “genre-leading graphics” and a bunch of interesting modes. This year they plan to bring players into the Official MotoGP, giving access to the IRTA Test, Quick Race, and the experience of the 2013 MotoGP Worldwide Championship.
There will also be a career mode, said to be revamped to put gamers in control of their favorite rider. Additionally, third and first-person viewpoints will be available. Details on this are scarce at the moment. Race in recreated events “inspired by reality” in an online multiplayer mode, though the number of players remains to be seen.
A brand new game engine has been created by Milestone with improvements to the physics, environments, graphics, and sounds for MotoGP 13. They will bring all the official tracks and riders of the 2013 MotoGP season to UK Vitas and PlayStation 3s later this year. No word on a North American release at this time.
