North America getting limited edition white PS3 bundle 27 January

Submitted by on Friday, 18 January 2013No Comment

NA_white_bundle_PS3The PlayStation Blog has officially announced that a limited edition PS3 bundle will arrive on 27 January. It sports a heavenly 500 GB white system with matching white controller that will conflict nicely with all your black audio video components.

The bundle will also include a 1-year subscription to the PlayStation Plus service with access to roughly 18 full PS3 games in the Instant Game Collection. Plus subscriptions also entail digital games offered frequently at deep discounts.

In fact, Sid Shuman of the PlayStation Blog recently mentioned in the latest blogcast that this Tuesday’s store update will host a bunch of deep discounts of up to 75% off for Plus subscribers. If this isn’t cause for you to jump right out of your seat and apply some funds to your PlayStation wallet, then enlighten us to what would.

Just in case you’re not up to speed on Plus. The single subscription gets the service on both PS3 and Vita. They each get their own 1 GB of online storage space for holding game saves and they each have their own free Instant Game Collection. There are also portions of the operating system that open up such as automatic trophy sync and automatic firmware updates (PS3 only).

If you have a moment, let us know what you think of this new 500 GB white PS3 for North America. What color would you really want if you had the choice?
