MotorStorm developer Evolution Studios have announced Driveclub as their newest racing IP. The concept for Driveclub came about nearly 10 years ago by Game Director Matt Southern. It’s only now that he believes game technology, specifically the PS4, can create his vision.

The game’s vision is to create an immersive world where car enthusiasts are connected 24/7 and can join together for races and events. You don’t necessarily need to be connected to the PS4 to experience what the game has to offer, as it appears that some features will be accessible from smart phones, tablets, and other mobile devices.

Driveclub is teaming up with the best in the automotive industry to bring the most realistic driving experience to PlayStation. As Southern puts it, “This isn’t cockpit view; this is first-person-racing.”
