When Vikings Attack! DLC headed to Europe this week
Please don’t get mad when we say that the When Vikings Attack! DLC was released last week for North America, but is coming to Europe 13 February. When Vikings Relax! is the next chapter in the dodgeball gameplay of When Vikings Attack! and features several new maps and missions for solo or multiplayer enjoyment.
When Vikings Attack! is a Cross Buy entitled game of dodgeball with a twist. Your team is comprised of a cluster of pedestrians vying to eliminate the competition by throwing random level objects. More people in your group means that larger items can be hurled at their enemies. We’re talking about 4-player online Cross Play involving Vitas or PS3’s with weapons like buses, oversized chess pieces, and even a shark.
It’s tons of fun and this DLC aims to up the ante on the fun factor. Take a look at the laundry list of new features:
- 10 new versus mode levels. Each one themed around recreational mayhem with a unique environmental hazard to watch out for. This includes a golf course with ricochet flags, a cruise ship with teleporting capabilities, a hockey rink with blades of death, a chess board that can’t hold itself together, and more…
- Solo Survival mode. A new single player game mode where you face off against waves history’s greatest warriors, survive as long as you can and get to the top of the leaderboards.
- New unlockable characters – Unlock 10 warriors in solo survival.
- Six new trophies – New specific challenges based around the DLC content to unlock.
The DLC will become available by itself for just €3.99 and unlocks onto both PS3 and Vita, so just check you’re download list after the purchase is complete. Two new character hats featuring the likenesses of Toro and Kuro cats from Japan will also be available for purchase.
Lastly, if you don’t already have When Vikings Attack! on your PS3 or Vita, Wednesday will be the day you can get the game (PS3 & Vita) and all of the above DLC for one price of €12.99.
