Battlefield 4 3News of Battlefield 4’s existence has been around since it was announced that players who pre-ordered Medal of Honor: Warfighter would gain access to its beta, but the game has been mostly kept under wraps until recently. Now, EA have revealed its first gameplay trailer, and it clocks in at a whopping 17 minutes!

Developed using the new Frostbite 3 engine, the Battlefield 4 trailer shows off dynamic lighting, superb character animations, destructible environments, and a whole lot more.

Dubbed “Fishing in Baku”, we get a first glimpse at what Battlefield 4’s single player campaign will be like as a group of American soldiers carry out a mission in Baku, Azerbaijan. Buildings explode, helicopters and armed trucks fire missiles  and one guy even gets his leg cut off. It’s an intense 17 minutes, nonetheless.

The trailer shown is comprised entirely from in-game footage, says EA, and is running on PC. Battlefield 4 will be available in the fall of 2013 for all current generation consoles as well at the PS4, however.

As mentioned earlier, there will be a beta for Battlefield 4. You can get in by pre-ordering the Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe Edition on, by being a Battlefield 3: Premium member, and by being a registered owner of Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition, according to the Battlefield Blog. More details will follow.
