Battlefield 4 advertisement reveals Commander Mode and three playable factions

Submitted by on Monday, 15 April 2013No Comment

battlefield-4-wallpaperWith Battlefield 4 being the worst kept secret since the reveal of the PlayStation Vita, it’s no surprise that more information has come to light.

This seems to be intentional but may be another case of a retailer jumping the gun on announcements which seems to happen more often than not.

As shown in the image below, Battlefield 4 will include:

  • The Frostbite 3 engine for more  realistic destructible environments and buildings
  • Russia, China and the United States as playable factions online
  • Vehicle combat
  • The return of fan-favourite Commander Mode, hugely popular in Battlefield 2

Also, though this may be a GameStop exclusive, if you reserve the game at your local store then you gain access to the first expansion pack released for free. This is likely to branch out to other retailers and countries as past trends indicate that EA find this to be a rewarding pre-order incentive.

Developer DICE have already confirmed that the single player portion of the game will focus on one character and that a multiplayer beta is in the works.
