The Ashes is one of sport’s most heated rivalries between England and Australia in the game of Cricket. An annual event, The Ashes represents decades of tradition and sportsmanship. While England has won the coveted trophy for the past three years, Australia has the overall lead in total series won.
The rivalry is reignited in Ashes Cricket 2013, and 505 Games has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming release.
Fresh off the smashing success that Far Cry 3 enjoyed at the tail end of 2012, Ubisoft aims grow the series’ ever-swelling wave of admiration with a DLC expansion that speaks to a nostalgia for all things gloriously 80’s. Leading up to the expansion’s May 1 target release, Ubisoft sought the help of Corridor Digital to bring some of the main themes to life.

With Battlefield 4 being the worst kept secret since the reveal of the PlayStation Vita, it’s no surprise that more information has come to light.
This seems to be intentional but this may be another case of a retailer jumping the gun on announcements which seems to happen more often than not.
As always, we’ve been playing an extremely eclectic selection of games this week, from visual novels to JRPGs, 2D platformers to first-person shooters. The biggest hit of the week was undoubtedly DrinkBox’s Guacamelee!, which has been wowing us with its incessant charm and entertaining gameplay (keep your eyes peeled for a full review very soon!).
This week, Warner Bros. made all our dreams come true with the announcement of a new Arkham game. Unfortunately it’s not being developed by Rocksteady Studios, but more Batman sounds good to us!
The international release of Vita-exclusive RPG Soul Sacrifice is just a few weeks away, so to whet your appetite Sony has announced a massive demo will be coming to both the North American and European PS Stores next week.
Namco Bandai has revealed a collector’s edition for Tales of Xillia which will release alongside the game later this year. It will release in North America on August 6th whilst Europe gets it 3 days later on the 9th and, lucky for Japan, they’ve had it since 2011 and already have a sequel.
OriginsThe next highly anticipated title in Rocksteady’s Batman series has been revealed to be Arkham Origins, a prequel to Asylum focusing on a younger Batman and his first encounters with famous allies and villains.
It will be developed by Warner Bros. Montreal rather than Rocksteady but they have access to the modified Unreal engine so that it will play and look similar to previous installments.
This week, DolphGB finally discovered how awesome Portal 2 is (better late than never, Dolph!), Majiesto continued his mission to play through all three BioShock games, MitchJay92 intensified his obsession with Persona, and I had fun (read: intense frustration) setting up my new computer. Tales of Xillia, one of the latest titles in the long-running Tales of series, will finally be coming to North American shores this year on August 6th. There is currently no word regarding a Europe release but we are hoping to receive word on this soon now that the game has made its way outside of Japan.
Now they can get busy localising Tales of Xillia 2!
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the PS3A team’s most played game of last week was the incredible BioShock Infinite. If you’re yet to pick up Irrational Games’ masterpiece, we seriously suggest you correct this error in your life! Other games that got some play time this week were The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Lumines: Electronic Symphony and Persona 4: Golden.
