PS3A PlayTime: 1st-7th Apr 2013
This week, DolphGB finally discovered how awesome Portal 2 is (better late than never, Dolph!), Majiesto continued his mission to play through all three BioShock games, MitchJay92 intensified his obsession with Persona, and I had fun (read: intense frustration) setting up my new computer. As always, find out what else we did this week by clicking the link.
Following a Spring Clean here at Attitude Towers, I found a bunch of promo discs of titles other members of the team had reviewed but I personally hadn’t played to completion – only ‘toyed with’ previously. This week I spent a few joyous hours inside the world of Portal 2. I knew it was good based on everything I’d been told by the team, but I didn’t realise how much better than the original it was. Definitely bucked the sequel trend. Other than that, I don’t think I really need to add that I’ve been playing Lumines on the Vita, do I? I’m so predictable…
My quest to play the entire BioShock franchise continues. I finished the original BioShock early last week and am now working my way through the second. Perhaps I’ll make it to Infinite by the weekend if I’m lucky. In other news, I’ve finally reached Trophy Level 17, thanks to the Grand Daddy trophy in BioShock 2. Onwards to Level 18!
Surprising nobody, I’ve been playing Persona 4 Golden and started Persona 3 Portable. During a little 2 hour+ session at a friend’s house we played Mortal Kombat (I went undefeated as Sonya, which is always good!) and the latest Naruto game, which I’m still unable to get into. Also started Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 and Victory and finished the Sleeping Dogs: Year of the Snake DLC – I’m still hoping for a sequel. Played Tomb Raider online but I feel that it needs a fair bit of patching if it’s going to be one of my go-to multiplayer shooters.
Unfortunately it’s been a largely gaming-free week once again, as I’m still getting to grips with my new Alienware Aurora. Sorting through and transferring all the files from my old laptop proved to be an absolute mission, but thankfully I’m pretty much finished now. My iTunes library hasn’t been this organised for years, but hopefully I’ll be able to actually play some games on it this week! The little gaming I’ve done over the last few days was on Dead or Alive 5 Plus and Jetpack Joyride on Vita, both of which have been really good fun.
