Tales of Xillia collector’s edition revealed

Tales of Xillia Logo1 300x78 Tales of Xillia collectors edition revealedNamco Bandai has revealed a collector’s edition for Tales of Xillia which will release alongside the game later this year. It will release in North America on August 6th whilst Europe gets it 3 days later on the 9th and, lucky for Japan, they’ve had it since 2011 and already have a sequel.

Xillia marks the 15th anniversary of the successful Tales Of franchise and will also feature, for the first time in the series’ history, motion capture. For those who have played previous titles such as Graces and Vesperia, I think that you’ll agree that some of the more emotional moments lacked impact due to the lack of expression featured on character’s facial and body language.

The collector’s edition which can be seen below includes:

  • A 21.5cm Milla Maxwell figure
  • The Art of Tales of Xillia book
  • A Special Music Selection CD
  • Limited Edition packaging
  • The game itself

Also included are alternative costumes for Milla and Jude and a custom PS3 theme, exclusive to those who pre-order.

The game allows you to choose from 2 lead characters – Milla and Jude – to see the story from their perspectives but it seems that Milla is the character who’s receiving the most attention. 3D environments will be featured for the first time in Tales Of history and instead of a the series staple top-down view, Xillia will feature an over-the-shoulder view which Producer Hideo Baba hopes will help raise awareness of the series outside of Japan.

Limited to 10,000 units, will you be ordering this online? Let us know in the usual place below.
