PS3A PlayTime: 6th-12th May 2013
It’s been a long time coming, but there’s some much needed variety in today’s PS3 Attitude PlayTime. This week’s videogame playlist included an eclectic mix of Final Fantasy XIII, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Persona 4 (on PS2!), Soul Sacrifice, Spec Ops: The Line and Thomas Was Alone. OK, it’s perhaps not a massive departure, but it’s definitely progress!
I’ve had a slow week in gaming terms, but that’s because I’ve had a very busy week behind the scenes. There’s a lot going on at the moment, especially as we lead up to E3, and it is exciting to watch all the little tidbits of PS4 and PS Vita information trickling out. I have had a chance to play a little more Thomas Was Alone on both the Vita and PS3, but other than that I’ve not had a lot of time to carry on with the epic Virtue’s Last Reward. I fear the coming week will tell a similar story, but we’ll see what happens…
I spent this past week playing Soul Sacrifice once again. I’ve managed to complete the main storyline and am now working on finishing up the Avalon Pacts. Besides my Vita getting all the love, I’ve been downloading a ton of games off the PSN thanks to PlayStation Plus. Unfortunately I’ve not been playing them so my backlog is quickly growing. Perhaps this week I’ll dedicate some time to clearing them.
Breaking tradition this week as I haven’t played any Persona titles! But that’s a lie because I’ve sunk many hours into Persona 4 Arena, Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 (which I’m now playing on PS2!). I think it’s safe to assume that Persona will be amongst my most played games next week too! I’ve also been playing Injustice: Gods Among Us, Siren Blood Curse, Devil May Cry: Vergil’s Downfall DLC and Zone of the Enders. I wish Zone of the Enders did a better job of telling you where to go next; it seems to expect you to know, but apart from that it’s really good. It’s a shame that the third one has been cancelled as it would look amazing on current/next gen consoles.
As you may have guessed, this week I continued with my playthrough of Final Fantasy XIII (did you really expect anything less?), but to be fair I played a lot of Spec Ops: The Line too. I’m approaching the end of Spec Ops now, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. My progress has been slightly slower than I would have liked, but that’s mainly because I’m playing on Suicide Mission difficulty. One thing’s for sure; I am not looking forward to my FUBAR playthrough! Over the last couple of days, I’ve also returned to Bit.Trip Presents… Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien. I own it on three different platforms now, so that should tell you how much I like it!
