E3 13; First look at Battlefield 4’s multiplayer
Rather than show a quick trailer and leave it at that, EA has been streaming live footage of Battlefield 4’s online multiplayer throughout E3. Here’s a 6-minute video that includes some of the best moments.
The popular FPS series is famous not only for its class-leading shooting mechanics, but also its sheer graphical clout, and Battlefield 4 looks like it will successfully continue with that legacy. The trailer also shows some vehicle-based gameplay, plenty of Battlefield’s trademark destruction, and the impressive Commander Mode.
The footage is all taken from the PC version of the game, but we’re confident that DICE can get the title running just as well on PlayStation 4.
And speaking of DICE, not only is the Swedish developer working on Battlefield 4 and a prequel to Mirror’s Edge, but EA’s press conference also confirmed that the studio is making a new Star Wars Battlefront game. It’s clearly still very early days, but a short teaser trailer was released alongside the announcement, which can be seen below.
