Fans have been clamouring for a HD remake of Final Fantasy VII for years, and Square Enix have heard our cries! We have been bestowed with a Cloud Strife outfit for Lightning, exclusive to pre-orders of Lightning Returns.

Although this may not have been what people wanted, it’s certainly a step in the right direction. Plus Lightning is pretty to look at.

Check Lightning out in her snazzy new outfit below.

The outfit is complete with Clouds iconic Buster Sword and Soldier’s Band, as well as his victory pose and fanfare music. The traditional victory music returns! Somewhat!

Specific abilities will be included with the outfit, but there’s no word yet on what this might entail but we’re hoping to see some of Clouds special moves in-game.

The outfit will be available as a code which can be found in a stunning pre-order steelbook, and although stores have not been named yet, it’s been confirmed for PAL regions.

Most likely exclusive to GAME, similar to the FFXIII-2 steelbook.

The second pre-order bonus is a Samurai-themed set of outfits for Lightning, dubbed Shogun, Sohei Saviour and Flower of Battle.
