Quiet. 300x165 Metal Gear Solid 5 characters being sexualised to encourage cosplay and merchandise salesMetal Gear Solid has a history of providing revealing outfits for many female characters, but on his English Twitter, world-renowned game director Hideo Kojima has admitted that these outfits are created with the purpose of encouraging cosplay, to advertise the game, and selling merchandise.

Kojima claimed to ask series art director Yoji Shinkawa to make sniper Quiet more erotic, as her current outfit may be too difficult for many cosplayers to recreate.
