Drakengard 3 comes to EU and NA in May

Submitted by on Wednesday, 5 February 2014No Comment

drakengard_3_screenshot_g_thumb1Japanese action role-playing game Drakengard 3 will be slashing its way to EU on 21st May, with NA getting it a day earlier.

Sadly, PAL regions are getting shafted on a physical copy and it’ll only be available digitally. NA however will receive a physical version and a collector’s edition with many goodies.

The collector’s edition will cost $79.99 and will include the following:

  • Premium packaging
  • Complete prequel novella
  • A poster with a different design on its back and front
  • A soundtrack sampler
  • All pre-order DLC
  • Exclusive DLC including a level, a Caim costume and a giant baby hat (familiar to those who played the original)
  • And the game itself, with the original Japanese box art

The pre-order DLC is interesting, as you’ll get more content the earlier you pre-order. If you pre-order before 4th March you’ll get the Japanese voiceover DLC, whilst pre-ordering between 4th March and 9th April will bag you exclusive missions.

Square Enix has also released the reveal trailer in English, which can be watched below.

The standard game, which is a prequel to the original Drakengard, will cost $49.99 in NA, and presumably £39.99 in EU.
