Articles by Danny D
Voted PS3 Attitude's favorite Staff Writer 15 minutes in a row, this undisputed and unrelenting Trophy King is among the weirdest individuals you will ever read from. Or about. Aboot if you're Canadian. Entertainment is the game and you already know his name. It's Danny_D by the way.
Hong Kong was next.
By the time we arrived it was too late.
Men watched, declaring the end was close.
People fleeing to the near isles met only with conflict.
The aftermath of evil raids could be felt on our skins.
We were the lucky ones.
Lords with beautiful rings laid dead in the arenas were heroes stood their ground.
There is no stopping this; not here.
We just hope Europe is safe.
It came from nowhere.
Japan was hit first.
Little at first, but it spread around our big planet.
It was man versus man in the streets; the evil residing here had taken over.
It was all clear now.
The warriors of their dynasty could not fight off the seven raids.
The fallout was three times worse than expected.
The few of us that survived are on the run.
They say Hong Kong is safe.
We recorded a video in which we talk about what we think will be the best PS3 tennis game of 2009. Since it looks like this will be the only PS3 tennis game in 2009 we are feeling pretty good about that claim. Never mind that, we are throwing the kitchen sink just in case. Gorgeous graphics, new locations, new players, and even new 3D crowds. We can still feel that new crowd smell, probably because Timmy keeps wearing it as cologne.
Not a lot we can get behind on the movie front this week but you can agree if you had to “get behind” any of these movies it would be Zack and Miri Make a Porno. So to summarize, all you really need to know about this update is this: “Her name Bubbles.”
Read on for the full list of new HD movies and TV shows. Look for the (PS3A Approved) tag for what we recommend you watch in case you are lost in the sea of PSN video content. Enjoy.
Howdy partner! Here we are at last, our last stop in this crazy train: the America of the northern persuasion. They say the safest place to be is behind a bullet, unless it is one of those backwards firing bullets of course. Crash your comet into someone else’s peanut butter, try not to pata-pata-pata-slap anyone, command or conquer the conflict free isles, stare longingly at that crack or say proudly “no mas!”. Your choice.
SONG! C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E! Oh wait, we already did that.
All right mate? We are almost done with all this update madness, in the home stretch if you will. No demos for you we’re afraid, only five free add-ons for your troubles. Unreal Tournament x1, Command & Concquer x1, FIFA 09 x1 and Naruto x2. A fair trade? We would like to think so. Go classic with your street fighting, unleash sonically with a Chu-Nan adventure, bring pain to the new guys or jam to that hot new Spongebob Squarepants song. We can’t wait for “The Campfire Song Song”…C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E-S-O-N-G song!
Nehih ho ma? Next stop is Hong Kong, the native land of my main man. There’s some serious PSOne love over there with a whopping one-two-three-four-five games ready to be enjoyed in Japanese. Localization be damned! We better invite Brodie over if we decide to get any of them. Get Your Patapon on with the LBP Patapon costume or show your respect to the legendary Brock Lee by Pain-fully flinging him all over the place.
UPDATE: inFamous and Trash Box videos crash the party along with a Rag Doll Kung Fu theme and wallpaper. Do yourself a favor and see Trash Box in action if you haven’t.
Irrasshaimase, we begin our PS Store Thursday update-a-thon with the land of the of the not so rising Yen. Japan can get its wrassle on with WWE Legends of Wrestlemania, show their patriotic side and slap you silly with that Ryu and gang LBP Sackboy or just shut the door, close the blinds and enjoy inflicting Pain to a hot Nurse or a girl mysteriously called “Muffy”. We know what we would do. Oh and a little game called Resistance 2 gets mapped and skinned (it’s far less gruesome than it sounds).
UPDATE: Three videos sneak up on your Japanese self. Killzone 2, H.A.W.X. and a showcase of PSN titles.
When life gets you down you need someone (or something) to tell you it’s going to be all right. Someone (or something) to be your rock. Someone (or something) to stand firm and unwavering against whatever life throws at you. Someone (or something) you can look at and get a warm fuzzy feeling inside that makes all your troubles disappear.
While we can’t help you with the someone (Craig’s list is not the way to go, trust us) we can definitely help you with the something. Behold the Capcom Girl Collection Cammy.
Read on to find out how to get your hands on her (it?) and to see some deliciously detailed pictures of our favorite female Street Fighter. Let the drooling commence.
At one point the title read “What the hell are you watching?” and even “What the (expletive) are you watching? Twilight is the number one movie downloaded in the PlayStation Network this week and we are mad. Perhaps we shouldn’t be so dismissive of a movie we haven’t really watched, but we are generally right about these things.
Three demos last week, four demos this week. I am seriously expecting five demos next week (not really). Vin Diesel fans rejoice, go double dip yourselves in the multiplication of his digital self in not one but two demos. We have been waiting for The Chronicles of Riddick but we are not quite sure about The Wheelman yet. Best of both worlds today, we get to a taste of something we want and a glimpse of something we may enjoy. Boost with Burnout, rock with your Guitar Rock Band Hero or chill with a nice cup o’ Qore.
…The need for speed (no relation to the now horrible game franchise but total relation to the film Top Gun). The Boost Special pack lets you go even faster in the streets of Paradise City. Good news for the speed freak in all of us. Speaking of driving, there is a Wheelman demo coming your way in case you feel like driving with a virtual Vin Diesel after watching the latest Fast and Furious trailer for the one millionth and one time. And yes, there is some Sackboy content this week.

Our latest Killzone 2 fix comes to you in the form of a Q&A from the developers themselves, Guerrilla Games. We had to track them down deep in the jungles of the Amazon region of Colombia; we had full network coverage the whole trip so it was ok. That Amsterdam headquarters is a front to confuse ‘the man’.
We talk about lessons learned from Killzone 1 and Killzone: Liberation, the inspiration behind Killzone 2’s Warzone online mode, and even take a challenge from Guerrilla Games. But what about the elephant in the room (aka the E3 2005 footage)? Did we dare bring it up? We’ll make you find out the hard way…
Demos. Do they add anticipation for game sales or do they help us weed out the hype from the truth? Can a bad demo be a good full game? Can good demo be a bad full game? Go read this and form your own opinion; take your time, we’ll wait. You’ll also wait for a demo of Sucker Punch’s inFamous for it has been confirmed today by the always entertaining PlayStation Blog. Will it be ‘artsy’? Probably not, but the final cover art was revealed (look up) along with a release date for the full game (click ‘Read the full story’).
SCEE has some demo love of its own; Wanted: Weapons of Fate and WWE Legends of WrestleMania are yours for the taking. We have not spent time with a good wraslin’ title in quite some time so we are eager to take this one for a full nelson suplex tonight. You PoPers out there can grab thePrince of Persia Epilogue and continue enjoying the company of the charming donkey-less Prince.

Hooray for demos! We’ve been Wanting some Watchmen Booty for a while and today we get to indulge ourselves threefold. Speaking of Booty, there are toys for you to play with if you are into that kind of thing. Toy cars that is, the Burnout Toy Car Collection is live for some fun shenanigans in our favorite concrete playground. And please don’t forget to watch the Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li trailer so we can discuss just how awful it’s going to be.
Get ’em now before some else gets to them first (unless you like sloppy seconds) after the break.
We admit that we have been swept away by a certain title but we still have much love for Street Fighter IV and, judging by our friends list, so do you. With that in mind we would like to throw some very helpful (or not so helpful depending on your point of view) training documents to make your wins come a lot easier.
Warning: These documents range from the informative to the WTF, but what else would you expect from this writer huh?
PS3 Attitude will be flying high tonight. And we won’t make routine landings for funions and twinkies, not that kind of high flying; the HAWX demo is finally upon us. So is the Killzone 2 demo but a little birdie told me that a lot of people were playing it already in the US…a-ny-way; if reading is not your thing, you can get the Killzone 2 strategy guide videos. Not that you would need them, we know our readers both rock and roll at the same time.
Get ’em now and get ’em often, after the break.
We got them HAWX flying high today! Aside from that is not much else for our European crowd to enjoy…unless you saved all that Christmas money to buy that hot new LOTR: Conquest add-on. Street fighter IV’s costume packs continue along with a new Buzz quiz pack testing your knowledge of years past (well, year).
