Articles by Danny D
Voted PS3 Attitude's favorite Staff Writer 15 minutes in a row, this undisputed and unrelenting Trophy King is among the weirdest individuals you will ever read from. Or about. Aboot if you're Canadian. Entertainment is the game and you already know his name. It's Danny_D by the way.
We were almost ready to throw in the towel and concede update thursday sueriority to Europe, but no, here comes the North American PS Store. Be warned, it came out swinging.
Although we may have been expecting the PlayStation.Blog.Europe arrival, we certainly didn’t expect this European Store update to be so great.
The first update under Europe’s own shiny new PS Blog is one for the ages, everything but the kitchen sink was thrown in here. We expect the ‘kitchen sink’ to be included when Trash Panic gets an European release this spring.
We continue our worldwide trek today with the next stop of the PS Store Express; Hong Kong.
LittleBigPlanet continues to dominate the content in this store with the 2000AD costume pack. Savage Moon gets a demo today like it did back in May 7th in EU/NA and MotorStorm II gets another livery pack (same as MotorStorm 2, just more Roman).
Good morning PlayStation fans. Today is Thursday, time for some light calisthenics and the beginning of our weekly PS Store round up. First up, Japan.
As you may have come to expect from the Japanese PS Store, PSone classics for your PS3 or PSP are always here sometimes. Today we got three of them. On the LBP front, we have the 2000AD costume pack, Judge Dredd and all.
We have another debut this week; a three-way debut. Ministry is bringing more metal to the Rock Band library with a three pack from hell. We say bring it on.
The Zombies are coming! The Zombies are coming! They are a 60′s English rock band, get it? The Cranberries complete the hat-trick debut with just one track, but we’ll take it anyway.
Bad news for bionic corporate America; they have lost one of their own in this state of economic turmoil. Depending on whom you ask at his former office, the bionic middle manager was summarily dismissed as part of a strategic downsizing or because of his role in an unfortunate high-five celebration mishap.
Don’t feel too bad for him, our bionic friend has bounced back and found a job already. Nothing as cool as a fireman or profitable as a middle manager, but it puts food on his bionic table. He’s a paperboy.
Poor Bats can’t catch a break. Everywhere he turns there is someone trying to beat him down, someone trying to break his flow, someone showing up in skimpy new uniforms, someone trying to break his back or even someone trying to hunt him down like some kind of snake. It’s his own fault really; who hangs out in a psychiatric hospital overrun with lunatics?
Add one more person to that list because Poison Ivy joins the festivities as her longing to ‘grow together’ reaches new heights in Arkham Asylum. But not in the way we expect, the lady in green that does not rhyme with ‘bulk’ has a very different perspective on personal growth.
Well, well, well. Now that you have sampled what’s on other regions, it’s nice to see that you have come back home. We see your inFamous and Tiger Woods 10 demos European store, and raise you a couple of PS1 classics and another demo. A full demo.
We were pleased to see how Volition and THQ got creative and blended the Discovery Channel’s Future Weapons show with the Red Faction: Guerrilla universe. Considered our hats tipped.
Three and a half demos for Europe, not too shabby. inFamous, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and Tiger Woods 10 are three; Killzone 2′s Bullet interactive art counts as a half (not a game, but still a demo). We think it’s fair.
The LBP spookfest reaches Europe and so does PAIN’s Ded Baron. Coincidence? We say nay. Enjoy the Fat Princess trailer, the Guitar Hero European tracks and the wicked cool Rock Band Alice Cooper pack.
LittleBigPlanet was the big shot in this update, taking up the most space with the monsters kit and four monster costumes. PAIN keeps the momentum going with the community voted and named ‘Ded Baron’ character.
“America ain’t got nothin’ on me!” was overheard in Hong Kong when the inFamous demo landed there on Friday.
Free add-on’s reach Japan in time for the weekend; Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Pack 5 and MotorStorm 2′s Signature Collection Vol 2 are yours Yen-free. LittleBigPlanet brings on the scary with an all monsters kit and costume pack. Boo.
The PS Eye and YouTube enabling patch for echocrome is live; now you can show the world just how fast you can hurl that DualShock3 across the room as you fail to complete any given stage. We hear there is an underground distance and speed DS3 hurling competition going on. Will you enter?
We love princesses here at PS3 Attitude, the fatter the better. Unless we have to carry them; in that case we hide the magical cake and break out the not-so-magical hand truck.
Bur never mind that, our friends at the PlayStation.Blog have shared with us a delicious bit of cake. Or crumpet if you like. Or video if you are being a pain about it.
It took a while but here it is at last. The previously Xbox 360 exclusive Fallout 3 downloadable content is coming to the PlayStation Network. Starting with Operation: Anchorage in late June, Fallout 3 fans will receive every previously released Fallout 3 DLC.
In order to get Fallout 3 DLC ready, a new update will be released for the PlayStation 3 version. On top of all this, Bethesda Softworks announced two brand new DLCs for all three platforms.
Alice Cooper is making his Rock Band debut this week and we don’t even have the proper face paint to honor this momentous occasion. Who is Alice Cooper you ask? UrbanDictionary.com has him as “One of the greatest rock artists ever who only stupid people havn’t [sic] heard of.” We have to agree.
As far as Taking Back Sunday goes; sorry boys, you are not worthy.
lease do not adjust your TV sets PC monitors. The picture you see on this post is not an error of our in-house picture uploading hamsters.
We actually endorse the 1951 movie over the 2008 loose remake. We may go as far as to recommend watching a plastic bag twirling in the wind over last week’s number one PSN movie. At least there is a chance the bag may do something unexpected.
Well hello there stranger, if plastic fists are your thing you can get some for free right now. The PlayStation Network has partnered with Sprint to bring you Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic free for one week. Better get downloading fast.
Also worth mentioning is a price reduction for Bionic Commando: Rearmed; it’s now $4.99 (previously $9.99). But without trophies it is a tough sell for most of us, even for a single Lincoln.
Europe gets more games than you can shake a stick at! Bejeweled 2, Buzz Junior: RoboJam, Texas Cheat’em and Zen Pinball are ready to be downloaded if you got the money. Zen Pinball even throws in a demo for the financially impaired, or the cheap bastards in all of us.
Bionic Commando gets a temporary price reduction, but judging by the reaction to the megaton announcement of “sorry, no BC:R trophies”, we don’t think it will move that many sales. A trophy patch would. Without the discounted price. Why Capcom, why?
If it not were for that little Daxter dude and the sexually named locations of the PAIN! Sore Spots add-on, we wouldn’t have an update. We would have what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don’t like it any more than you men.
Hmmm, now where have I heard that before?
The PSOne love came back to your favorite (only?) Japanese PS Store. It’s nice to see that the free MotorStorm 2 DLC is a global effort, rather than a North America only affair. Add a free theme and you got yourself a very MotorStormy store update.
