After his success delivering the epic score for Insomniac Games’ Resistance 2, Boris Salchow, an L.A based film composer is returning for the third game in the series. He will be recording at London’s famous Abbey Road Studios.

Resistance 3 will focus on a far darker aesthetic to reflect the increased threat mankind faces from the invading Chimera, whilst continuing to represent the alternate 1950s setting that players will be accustomed to.

Killzone 3: The PS3 Attitude Review

Killzone 3: The PS3 Attitude Review

Killzone 3 is clearly a title that makes some people uncomfortable.

This particular author doesn’t normally bother reading other people’s reviews at all, but that golden rule was broken when stories of a few ‘less than stellar’ opinions were being touted on Twitter. Could Killzone 3 really be a 6 or 7 out of 10 game? Or are we dealing with some kind of irrational backlash against, apparently, nothing at all?

Read on as PS3 Attitude give you one of our trademark scoreless reviews. Everything you need to know about Killzone 3, good and bad, is contained within.

The Year of the Rabbit; 2011 for you and your PS3

Well then, dear PS3 lovers… it will soon be the Year of the Rabbit, the happiest of all the Chinese zodiac signs.

In Chinese astrology the Rabbit is considered to be happy and popular. Rabbits are known for their artistic talent and good taste. You might say there are certain attributes of the Rabbit that foretell of a great year for Sony’s flagship console.

So, is that the case? Or will 2011 be more a ‘dog of a year’ than a metaphorical ‘lucky rabbit’s foot’?

FIFA 11 – The PS3 Attitude Review

FIFA 11 – The PS3 Attitude Review

FIFA 11 is truly a “game of two halves”, a phrase that has summed up the topsy-turvy nature of this beautiful game we call football since it was coined, probably by either Jimmy Greaves or Ian St. Clair, in the early ’90s.

The problem with FIFA 11 is this. On one hand you have the slickest and best feeling football game to ever arrive on the PS3. Then on the other hand you have a game mode so maddening you hope and pray that, just for some light relief, Sir Alex Ferguson would walk into your room and kick a boot in your face.

PlayStation Move, Sports Champions, Start the Party and Kung Fu Rider – The PS3 Attitude Review

PlayStation Move is the most anticipated PS3 product of the year. Forget all your AAA titles and firmware updates; nothing comes close to changing the game like the PS Move does.

The all important question, therefore, is this – is the PlayStation Move actually any good?
