Terraria – The PS3 Attitude Review
Submitted by | Tue, 21/05/13 – 14:34 | No Comment

Terraria is a big game with a simple concept – survive. This is done via creating shelter, collecting materials and fighting off monsters who are more than ready to attack you the moment you’re off-guard. Although many people compare Terraria to Minecraft, and the resemblance is easy to notice, does it stand on its own two feet?

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – The PS3 Attitude Review

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves picks up the story of PS3 poster-boy, Nathan ‘Nate’ Drake, roughly two years after the events of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Similar to the previous story, this new adventure revolves around an unsolved historical mystery.

Instead of searching for the gold of El Dorado, this time Nate’s travels take him along the path of Marco Polo’s doomed voyage home from China in 1292. You see, Polo departed with 14 ships and over 600 passengers and crew, but when he arrived at his destination a year and a half later only one ship remained and only 18 of the passengers had survived.

Although Marco Polo described almost every other aspect of his journeys in minute detail he never revealed what happened to the ships that were lost, and it is this fact that drives Drake and his cohorts forward towards the treasure, and the truth.

Blue Toad Murder Files is an episodic whodunnit-em-up from the one of the UK’s Top Ten most successful developers that will be their first self-published PSN title.

Paul Woodbridge, Design Director at Relentless, took some time out of his busy schedule to answer our questions.

DJ Hero; 93 tracks revealed

We’re already big fans of DJ Hero here at Attitude Towers, partly thanks to our early hands-on with the game, but we were always a little worried about the track list.

Would it be varied enough to attract different ages and music fans, or would it be just for the hardcore turntablists out there.

Well, wonder no more as Activision have revealed all 93 tracks, and they seem to have covered everything.

Bayonetta and Ratchet get Google Chrome themes

Google Chrome was recently updated with a new stable release that saw the addition of ‘themes’, the ability to customise the look and feel of Chrome to suit your tastes.

Initially, there weren’t many themes available but yesterday Google released 130+ new customisations that include designs from Oscar de la Renta, Anita Kunz, Tom Sachs, Kate Spade, Donna Karan and Kid Robot.

But what really caught our eye was the inclusion of Bayonetta and Ratchet & Clank Future 2 themes in the latest batch of updates.

Who watches the Sackmen? We do…

We’re big fans of the original Watchmen comic book series by Alan Moore here at Attitude Towers. Whilst we thought the Zack Snyder movie was great, we didn’t have a lot of love for the recent PSN game.

But now we can get our Watchmen fix in a PS3 game that already had our hearts fully captured.

Yes, our favourite de-constructed superheroes are coming to LittleBigPlanet this Thursday.

PS3 ‘Motion Controller’; go on, name it!

The recent showing of the Motion Controller at TGS, and the subsequent PR pieces that came flooding through to Attitude Towers, make one thing very clear to us.

Sony don’t have an official name for the glowy wand right now.

So go ahead, give the stick a name, and we’ll send all the most popular suggestions direct to Sony…

SCEA got some time to speak recently with James Stevenson, Community Manager at Insomniac Games.

James was was kind enough to walk them through some brand new Axiom City gameplay in Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time.

All we want to see, of course, is what the weapons look like in the latest R&CF title. So do we get our wish?

No more Neutenboom; FIFA 10 goes Dutch once again

It has been some time – three years in fact since EA’s ’2006 World Cup’ title – but the Dutch national team are making an official comeback to the FIFA franchise.

The team, who have various nicknames such as ‘Oranje’, ‘The Flying Dutchmen’ and ‘A Clockwork Orange’, were not allowed to be included in previous FIFA outings due to a disagreement between EA and the Royal Netherlands Football Association (Koninklijke Nederlandse Voetbal Bond or KNVB in The Netherlands).

So what does this mean for all you Oranje-fans?

SplitFish SplitFest; Dual SFX Evolution hands-on and FragFX v2 review

We’re big fans of the classic Sony DualShock design here at Attitude Towers, so whenever we are presented with the opportunity to use optional third-party hardware to control our games, our eye is often super-critical.

So what did we think when we tried out the most unusual controllers yet devised for the PS3; the SplitFish Dual SFX Evolution and the FragFX v2? And do they make you better at online gaming?
