I've been gaming since I was just a wee lad but it wasn't until about 5-6 years ago that video games really started to grab ahold of me. Now, I play pretty much every day. I enjoy games from just about every genre, although fighting games and JRPG's have yet to really grab me. I'm a particular fan of on-line and co-op game modes, and I really enjoy the social aspects of those kinds of games. I'm always up for talking about games and technology so if you ever see me around, don't be afraid to strike up a conversation.
The Need for Speed franchise is returning to the glory days with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. With Criterion at the helm – creator of the Burnout franchise – we’re as excited about this racer as we’ve been in a very long time. It’s that time again – time for the PlayStation Store update! While the update this week might not be quite the size of last week’s, there’s still some great content to be had.
Getting right to the downloadable games, there’s a new Death Spank game to download as well as Sonic Adventures, the port of the highly successful Dreamcast title. If neither of those strike your fancy, you can look in to Sky Fighter and Blade Kitten. Blade Kitten even has a trial game so you can get a taste before dropping your hard earned dough.
If you’re more of a ‘try before you buy’ kind of gamer, there are demos for NBA Elite 11 and Summer Challenge – Athletics Tournament. If Minis are your thing then you’ll be happy to know there’s also one of those – Arcade Sports: Bowling & Air Hockey. Last but certainly not least is the Red Dead Redemption add on pack labeled Liars and Cheats.
Remember a while back when Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light was announced, and Crystal Dynamics said it arrive for the X-Box 360 first? At that time, we here at the Attitude Towers all had a good laugh because we found out that the 360 version was going to lack co-op, despite its early release. Come to find out, the joke’s on us.
