Well kick our butts and call us Betty – no sooner than the reveal trailer of Killzone 3 is released, Sony blow our minds with a brand new trailer featuring actual gameplay footage.
The hype machine starts here.
You may remember we reported earlier than ESRB listings seemed to have ousted the fact that Dreamcast games were heading to the PSN. Well, now SEGA has made it official.
So – what can we expect to see?
Sometimes we get a little bit jealous here at Attitude Towers. For the last few years Xbox 360 owners have been wading knee deep in brains and various fluids during bouts of the sublime Left4Dead franchise.
Now there’s more to life than violence – but just once we would like to be able to lay the smack down on hordes of the undead.
In this instance SCEE have come to our rescue – as ‘Dead Nation’ is set to arrive exclusively on the PSN this year.
The FIFA franchise turnaround has been one of the biggest surprises of the current generation. The once ridiculed series (think FIFA 64) has now become the benchmark football game – leaving PES trailing behind with its shoelaces untied and in need of an asthma inhaler.
But with FIFA 10 being such a complete package, can EA move the bar yet again with number 11? They think they can – and it’s all down to Personality+.
We love a good trademark filing here at PS3 Attitude. To us they are like looking at a massive sparkly padlocked box covered in question marks – you have an inkling that something good might be in there, but there’s a chance it’s absolutely nothing.
Sony has recently trademarked ‘PlayView’ – and keeping in touch with the company’s mantra, this listing seems to do everything!
It has been announced via the wonder that is Twitter that Hideo Kojima will be teaming up with Square Enix for what could be the longest, stylish and most nonsensical cutscene ever made.
At the moment if you were to mention ‘Sonic’ to most people, the response would be an opinion on Sonic 4 and whether it will rise to glory or fail worse than Robotnik after six cans of lager.
If you look closely though, Sonic 4 isn’t the only Sonic game heading to the PSN. Let SEGA take you back into the past with Sonic Adventure.
The biggest game of the year just keeps getting bigger as – once again – Red Dead Redemption fights off the competition to top the UK charts.
Can anything possibly stop it?
It’s been a bit quiet lately on the R.U.S.E front. The game was originally penned for earlier this year, but was one of the casualties of Ubisofts delay machine.
However, a release date has now been announced, and joy of joys the game will be in stores on the 17th September! Let’s just hope this date isn’t a ruse (see what we did there?).
Toot toot! All aboard the Twitter hype machine as it will soon be leaving the station. Yes that’s correct, once again our good friend Twitter is being used for a bit of sneaky viral marketing – and the good news is that it’s implying that Thief is set to hit the PS3.
It’s fair to say that not many of us would turn down the chance to be a superhero. The fame, the glory, the powers and the impending explosions would be too good an opportunity to pass up.
Many a night the members of Team Attitude don some lycra apparel and head out into the public with the intention of doing good (except Danny D).
Sony Online Entertainment has announced that – come November – you too will get the chance to dress in dubious costumes and prance about large cities -DC Universe Online will be unleashed.
Pre-orders – every games developer/publisher wants you to make one for their game. Of course – the retailers want it on the action too. Unfortunately for some we have had the best few months of games releases for a long time, so to secure that vital pre-order outlets are having to go that extra mile.
Can Test Drive Unlimited 2 tempt us with its pre-order wares?
Fans of comic mayhem will be pleased to know that the PSN game Joe Danger is dangerously close to being released. Sorry – that was poor even by our usual standards.
Cheap puns aside, the last couple of years haven’t exactly been sunshine and lollipops. With jobs losses aplenty, sometimes you need a quick cash injection to get by.
Well it seems GameStation might be able to help – and no, you’ve not misread that.
Does anybody remember PlayTV? This little black trinket essentially turned the PS3 into a DVR – mimicking the features of a Sky+ or Virgin Media box.
Well it didn’t actually set the world on fire and can be found in many retailers for less than twenty pounds – a whopping fifty pound saving on the original RRP.
It seems as though a new one is on the way though – second time lucky?
Those keeping a close tab on the game will already have received the email – but as of yesterday evening signups for the Test Drive Unlimited 2 BETA has begun.
This is definitely one worth getting excited about.
Most of you will be well aware of the fact that Red Dead Redemption has been a massive hit for Rockstar. So much so that it has gone on to become the fastest selling game of 2010 so far.
The downside to this is stock has dried up quicker that a cowboys mouth in the midday sun.
Fear not partners – Rockstar is riding to the rescue.
Well it’s finally here. We’ve waited, gone through BETA tests and waited some more – now FirstPlay is upon us.
But is it worth your money?
