Love it or hate it, the Halo franchise is gargantuan. Clearly Bungie is a very talented studio.

With its recent separation from Microsoft, will we be seeing their logo adorning a PS3 box any time soon?

MAG – The PS3 Attitude Review: Part 2

MAG – The PS3 Attitude Review: Part 2

You may think it strange that PS3 Attitude is reviewing MAG now. After all – wasn’t this game released back in January? Old hat surely.

Well, as we mentioned in our (p)review (or Review part 1, if you will) a few weeks ago, MAG is an ever evolving game. We saw it’s potential and recognised what Zipper Interactive was trying to achieve, and as such decided to play test the game for several weeks to really give you an idea of what MAG is about, and to do the game justice.

This will be no five hour ’7 out of 10′ review – this will be the combined thoughts of Team Attitude who have dedicated a vast amount of time to what surely must be one of the great online games.

Is Australia closer to getting R18+ games?

Is Australia closer to getting R18+ games?

We’ve mentioned previously about the debate raging in Australia regarding the lack of an R18+ rating for games.

Well information has now been released that the major cause of resistance to this rating – Michael Atkinson, the South Australian Attorney-General – is stepping down from his position to take a back seat role in the Australian Parliament.

Can Australia now move forward with what we deem to be common sense?

Switzerland to ban violent games

Switzerland to ban violent games

In mid February, two resolutions were passed in Switzerland. The first made the purchase of any game not carrying a PEGI age rating illegal, and required stricter rules on the requirements of ID.

The second resolution was the more interesting one, although it passed with a split vote of nine to three. It potentially gave the Swiss government the power to ban violent games. As the vote was split The Swiss Law Commission sought input on the issue from retail and industry bodies before presenting this to government.

Unfortunately a month on and this resolution has now passed as law – but what does it mean?

Lost Planet 2 hands-on – The PS3 Attitude Preview

It’s not often we get asked if we want to shoot things in the face. So when an email materialised from Capcom asking if we wanted to do just that, we felt it rude to say no.

It seems they have a bug infestation – and they need our help by allowing us access to copious amounts of Lost Planet 2 at a special event.

Can the game surpass its highly regarded predecessor?

Is it time to say bye bye to Blockbuster?

On the whole, games are fairly expensive. As the last couple of months have proven, to play all the must have games you need to either have a massive stack of cash – or go down the rental route.

One of the major games rental companies – Blockbuster – have announced they are in serious trouble. Has the recession claimed another scalp?

Yes it’s BAFTA time again. A time to celebrate the year that was, and for the Internet to tear itself asunder disagreeing about the winners and losers of each category.

Sony regrets rejecting Demon’s Souls

We all have regrets. That tingly, annoying sensation at the back of your head when you see that an opportunity you passed on has succeeded and flourished.

This is exactly what Sony is feeling right now whenever someone mentions Demon’s Souls – the game that got away.
