I have been an avid gamer since I learned how to hold a controller. My favorite games include Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Mega Man, Ratchet & Clank, Resident Evil; the list could probably go on forever. I am also a big movie and television junkie. Pretty much anything technological or entertainment-related will satisfy my curiosity.
Bethesda Softworks, the developers behind titles such as The Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3, have announced that their next venture will be the third-person co-op fantasy action game, Hunted: The Demon’s Forge.
Video game analyst Jesse Divnich of Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR) spent some time with Sony’s upcoming PlayStation Move, and had some kind words to say about it.
He claims that the Move is an “evolutionary step in motion based gaming’ and that it will be “commercially successful.” Not only that but he gives us some detail as to what it’s like actually using the device.
Dary! Yep, that’s right How I Met Your Mother is getting a special Featured Collection in this weeks Video Store update.
It features six bro-tastic episodes that have been hand picked by the ladies man himself, Barney Stinson aka Neil Patrick Harris. If you’re not a HIMYM fan yet, now is the perfect time to become one.
Shatter was one of the most notable games released on the PSN last year and it finally making its way to PC later this month. With it, the game is bringing new modes in addition to multiplayer. The good news is that these modes will be making their way to the PS3 version at some point in the future.
We go hands-on with the PC version of Shatter to bring your our impressions of these new gameplay modes; Endless Mode, Endless Co-op Multiplayer, Time Attack, and Time Attack Co-op Multiplayer.
MTV Games and Harmonix have announced that Green Day: Rock Band will launch worldwide on June 8th, 2010. Naturally, there will be a variety of purchasing options although to much surprise, the game is not going to be bundled with any instruments.
PlayStation Home is still in its beta phase in case you were wondering and the developers and programmers have been listening to all the comments and suggestions that come in. Starting tomorrow, Home will be getting remodeled and upgraded to version 1.35.

First we got the Lost in Nightmares DLC, a trip through memory lane filled with classic Resident Evil surprises and the new yet not too difficult Guardian of Insanity enemy. Now we get the Desperate Escape DLC, a complete 180 from the former where you’ll find yourself flooded with every type of Majini possible and will be begging for a nuke, even if it means your untimely death.
Experienced veteran Jill Valentine and BSAA agent Josh Stone must escape the Tricell facility while Chris and Sheva go after Wesker. Be prepared to put up a fight as these Majini want you to stay forever. The developers created Desperate Escape as a challenge for gamers and boy, what a challenge it is.
Aliens vs. Predator will be getting four “new” multiplayer maps later this month. We say “new” because the term only applies if you purchased the standard edition. Those of you who own the special edition already have the featured maps.
Nippon Ichi Software and Hit Maker team up to bring another RPG exclusively to the PS3. Last Rebellion tells the classic story of a clash between two opposing forces. In this case, it’s between two gods, Formival and Meiktilia whose powers are transferred to humanity in the form of Blades and Sealers.
Unfortunately, the game had the unpleasant luck of releasing on February 23rd in the United States, the same date as Heavy Rain, and will be released on March 26th in Europe. In fact, unless your name is either Lightning or Kratos, we wouldn’t suggest releasing a game in the near future.
Still, it’s been a while since our last RPG adventure and Last Rebellion features classic open world exploration and turn-based battles, so we’re keen on giving it a go. It’s time to see if the game can hold up against the heavy competition.
Platinum Games have updated their website with new information on the futuristic sci-fi shooter, Vanquish. It’s been a while since we were teased with the initial trailer, learning that it was San Francisco that was seen being obliterated on the news. Now we also know that it was Russia who was behind the attack.
This week’s update to the PSN Video Store brings the good, the bad, and the ugly. No, we’re not talking about the film in this case. We’re talking about Forgetting Sarah Marshall, 2012, and Where the Wild Things Are. We’ll let you decide which adjectives fit with each movie…
What’s cute, cuddly, and craves brains all day? That’s right, it’s Zombie Bear!
505 Games have released a new batch of screenshots for the upcoming Naughty Bear and with them comes the first look at his undead cousin.
We can only hope that this bear will be playable in one form or another.
Batman: Arkham Asylum will be getting the Game of the Year treatment, available March 26th, 2010 across European and PAL territories. What makes this edition so special is the inclusion of six new challenge maps along with the option of playing in 3D.
Now we know you’re probably wondering why you would want this feature when you don’t even have a 3D capable TV or even the glasses. Well, you’re in luck…
Crystal Dynamics has announced the latest title in the Tomb Raider series, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. The game is scheduled for a 2010 release and will be downloadable, rather than a full blown retail disc.
It appears that Lara is being demoted and losing her Tomb Raider status as it is nowhere to be found in her next adventure.
Shatter is coming to PC later this month and bringing a bunch of new modes with it. In addition to the usual fanfare, Endless Mode, Endless Co-op Multiplayer, Time Attack, and Time Attack Co-op Multiplayer will also be included in the PC version. What does this have to do with the PS3 you ask?
Partnering with Ignition Entertainment, Zombie Studios have announced their latest creation, Blacklight: Tango Down.
The game is a first person shooter set in the futuristic city of Blacklight and will be available for download this summer. Just because it’s a downloadable title though, doesn’t mean it is in any way small…
Lost in Nightmares is the first of two scheduled DLC packages that expand the story of Resident Evil 5, while upgrading the current Mercenaries mode with a few new playable characters.
Does this warrant a purchase and if so, should you download each pack individually or wait for the upcoming Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition?
MAG will be receiving its second title update come tomorrow, February 25th. Whether you’re S.V.E.R., Raven, or Valor, no one can escape the patch.
A brief overview of patch v1.03 reveals weapon updates to make them more effective and realistic in range firing. In addition exploits will be shut down and setting/diffusing charges will receive a makeover. To see the full list of what’s included, hit the jump.

This is the latest addition to a growing games division for Warner Bros. In 2007, WB acquired TT Games, developers of the LEGO franchise. Later in 2009 they bought Snowblind Studios and primary assets of Midway Games. Welcome to your new home Rocksteady Studios!
If you answered, “they’re all on this week’s EU PSN Video Store” then you would be correct. Now you can purchase Michael Jackson’s This Is It, Planet Hulk, and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li all in one place.
