I have been an avid gamer since I learned how to hold a controller. My favorite games include Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Mega Man, Ratchet & Clank, Resident Evil; the list could probably go on forever. I am also a big movie and television junkie. Pretty much anything technological or entertainment-related will satisfy my curiosity.
Announced by TheSixthAxis today, Eidos confirmed that a trophy patch for the lovely Lara Croft is on its way. No details were given as to when this patch would be made available or what kind of trophies would be coming but Keir Edmonds, the Community manager for the game, did have this to say…

If selected, you will then participate in a multiplayer match against eight others in which the top four get the opportunity to play with the Resistance 2 team. The team members will then select the top dog from those four and he/she will receive a concept art print signed by the whole team!

The sequel to the highly popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has just been confirmed. Announced as part Activision’s forth quarter earnings call for 2009, Modern Warfare 2 is sure to impress. While we have no details on what Infinity Ward is up to this time around, an executive from the company stated that the game will be the most anticipated for the end of 2009.
The rest of the Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) are there to help you take out some zombie hordes. According to the latest issue of Famitsu, four non-playable members of the BSAA have been named, along with a brief description.

Not too long ago, just a few hours to be exact, we brought you news that Street Fighter IV would be getting alternate costumes in Japan. Well we now know that those same costumes will be hitting North American shores in packs of five as well, beginning February 17th for $3.99 each.
What we didn’t know then is that more DLC is on its way. Announced today is Championship Mode, an expansion pack which will add new and unique gameplay options to the game. Oh, and did I mention that it will be available free of charge?
Valentines Day is fast approaching us and those of us who don’t have the pleasure of having that significant other to be with will have to settle for SackBoy or SackGirl instead. According to Andriansang.com, RE5 will have Home support from the get go with Street Fighter adding functionality through an update. The lounge for Resident Evil 5 will have a Kijuju theme and players will be able to join co-op games and such from there. Users will also be able to unlock items during their playthough of the game as well as purchase costumes of their favorite characters. Looks like we’re going to have a lot of Ryu’s and Ken’s running around.
Now I know what you might be thinking. Isn’t SingStar a Sony exclusive? Well yes, it is, but that doesn’t mean the PS3 can get some favorable love over its elder brother, the PS2. SCEE have announced the full track list featuring nothing but Queen songs including 5 exclusive tracks found only on Blu-ray. The game is due out in Europe and Australia this March. You never would have guessed it but Cuboid is quite addicting. There is great satisfaction when you move that block into position and hear the winning chime. Some of the more difficult puzzles, the later ones on Expert, can take upwards of twenty minutes each. Yikes! That’s what I call dedication. Of course, it’s going to be different for everyone but it definitely takes some thought and pre-planing if you want to get the best score.
Figurines, art books, soundtracks; it is all good stuff but presentation is key. It is what sets them apart from the rest of the games out there. Ranging close to 1.5x the price of the game itself, are these so called Collector’s Editions worth collecting though?
