Huge hulking supersoldier. Ace spacecraft Pilot. Ass-kicking female parkour expert. These are things I am not. Not in real life, at least. In the digital age, however, things are different. I command legions, leap between buildings and kick seven shades out of any oncomer. Sometimes. Games are the Yin to the Yang that is my daily grind of a job. I get to release all my stress and catch up with near and distant friends. And best of all, I get to inflict my opinions on all things game on people I don't know. Some people even like what I say. Result!

We had the good. Now it’s the turn of the bad. What could go wrong for the PS3 in 2009? Are there any wrinkles at the edges ready to tear? Will we see death and destruction all around the gaming world? Will anything be as good as we are told it will? All this and more, after the break.
Cranial heavy-hitter ‘Trivial Pursuit’ is ambling onto the PS3.

(Well, maybe not ALL the answers…)
Retro. That is the buzzword for the era. With PS1 games on the PSN and rumours of PS2 games to follow suit, what would we like to see make the jump into the 21st Century?
More Importantly, what would you like to see dragged kicking and/or screaming into the modern age?

Who are you looking forward to getting to grips with most? (Ahem)
So after rolling out of the unmade bed that is Christmas and landing with a thud on the thin end of 2009, we have to do two things. Firstly, we have to take stock. Looking back at 2008, it is clear that us PS3 Attitudees had a great year. With the likes of LBP and MGS4, we can’t surely expect 2009 to be as good.
Can we?
Which brings me nicely onto the second thing we have to do at this time of year; look forward to what the next 12 months will bring us. Brodiesan has already started outlining many of the components making up the raft of games careening toward us with careless abandon in the coming months, but I thought I would take advantage of my shiny new crystal ball.
What’s set to burn our corneas with awesomeness and what is set to underwhelm us to tears? In part one, we take a look at the ‘Good’.
So: Was I the only one who waited with bated breath for the MGS pack to go live on the EU store? Apparently not. A post has appeared over on the PlayStation Forums announcing that we here in Europe will not see the MGS pack for LittleBigPlanet today.
Home is now live! According to TedTheDog over on the PlayStation Forums, we can now get our grubby little mitts on Home 1.03. There have been some reports of connection issues, but I haven’t experienced it myself.
With promises of TV that I could pause, fast-forward and rewind, as well as record on a whim, I plunged in and bought the diminutive gadgety add-on.
But how has it fared over the past few months? Has it become a dust-gathering black box confined to the corner? Or has this teeny little box of tricks stayed the course? Hit the jump to find out..
According to EA CEO John Ricitello, the company is happy with it’s improved metacritic scores. The number of games with scores of over 80 jumped from 7 last year to a mighty 17 this year.
But is that good enough for the lofty expectations of EA? No, nein, nacht, non and nei. They want things to be even better in the new year, and have some plans as to how to make that dream a reality.
