L.A. Noire gets a release date

With all the hype and excitement surrounding Rockstar’s L.A. Noire it’s a wonder that we really don’t know much about the story.

Yes, we know the time period and the city and presumptions can be taken from there but we have not had much in the way of a concrete story arc.

Luckily we have a new trailer that sheds some light on the narrative behind Rockstar and Team Bondi’s action thriller. Take a look at the trailer and find out when you can expect to play it.

Duke Nukem Forever gets a release date, seriously

It appears that the unthinkable is upon us. Despite their finest efforts, the fates could not sufficiently bury Duke Nukem Forever.

It was practically 13 years ago that we first got the announcement that Duke Nukem Forever was in development, and now that development cycle is on the verge of completion.

In other news the city of Atlantis is alive and well and Elvis will be playing Caesar’s Palace later this year.

Some of us may have understandably written this game off but alas it has been dated. Find out when you can expect to get your hands on the infamous title.

Developed by CyberConnect2 and Published by Capcom, Asura’s Wrath was first announced during last year’s Tokyo Games Show.

Setting records with LittleBigPlanet 2

Every year the crack staff over at Guinness World Records updates the world on the esteemed accomplishments of humanity, and perhaps this will be the year that the creepy guy with long fingernails is surpassed by an equally creepy guy or gal with slightly longer fingernails.

The powers that be have also recently seen fit to expand their gaze to incorporate the feats of gamers. The ‘Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition’ chronicles everything from “best selling racing game” to “longest videogame marathon” (Mario Kart Wii and 50 hours of Red Dead Redemption respectively, in case you were wondering).

What records do SCEA and Guinness have in mind for LittleBigPlanet 2?

All of us that played the first game remember making our way through the USG Ishimura, eying the million vents, and shooting the appendages off of countless necromorphs. Today we are given a look inside Isaac Clarke’s next tour with the official Dead Space 2 launch trailer.

What does EA have in store for you this time that will keep you playing in daytime hours?

Gameloft to release Modern Combat: Domination

Gameloft to release Modern Combat: Domination

Addias. Nikre. Boreos. Knock-offs are a part of consumer based society. Company A creates a wonderfully successful product. Then another company, let’s just call them Company B (bet you didn’t see that coming) mimics said product virtually eliminating a large chunk of their development costs.

Of course this trend does not limit itself to expensive shoes and chocolate cookies. With the video games industry more viable than ever it is no surprise that more and more companies are throwing their hats into the ring to try to get a piece of the pie. Double metaphors aside, it is not surprising to see something like a Call To Duty or Need To Speed on store shelves. However, is it possible for a company to make a product that is too similar to its competitor’s?

North American PS Store update for January 12th – Costumes and little else

As far as updates for the Playstation Store go this one falls somewhere in the range of forgettable and unnoticed.

There’s not much to be had in this weeks treasure trove of offerings. Hopefully this is just the calm before the storm. Those still going at it hard with Super Street Fighter IV will find a new costume pack available for a handful of fighters worth your while. Outside of that and the usual Rock Band and Guitar Hero updates there really isn’t much to get excited about.

Nevertheless we have poured through the list so that you can unearth any potential gems that may be to your liking. Happy hunting.
