Portal 2 was one of the best games of 2011, and improved on the original in pretty much every way. Six months later, the Peer Review DLC somehow made it even better. And now, the game’s set for another revolution with In Motion; developed by Sixense, this new DLC adds more levels to the game, which make use of the PlayStation Move motion controller; but does it work?
While some franchises simply refuse to go away, others seriously struggle to make the leap into multi-game territory. This can be for a number of reasons, but usually comes down to poor sales, regardless of how popular the game is among those who played it. This week, we’ve been discussing the likelihood of whether or not we’ll see a sequel to five of our favourite PS3 games.
Developed by Climax and Sony’s XDev studio, Smart As is a brand new puzzle game, most easily described as the Vita’s answer to Nintendo’s Brain Age series. The title uses all the console’s features to create an experience that is only possible on Vita; but is it worth buying?
To celebrate the imminent releases of LittleBigPlanet Karting and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, SCEE is currently running a couple of massive sales on the PlayStation Store. In what can only be described as a genius move by the UK retailer, GAME has announced that they will soon be offering reward points for PSN Trophies and Xbox Achievements, as part of their newly revamped loyalty card scheme.
To be honest, we’ve never really understood Halloween at PS3 Attitude. As they grow up, children are understandably told time and time again to never ever accept sweets from strangers. Oh, apart from on Halloween, that is, when this kind of behaviour is positively encouraged. Madness!
But we digress. Halloween is also a great excuse to play some of the scariest games on PS3, so we dare you to make it through as many of our chosen titles as you can.
In March, Journey saw thatgamecompany’s three-game deal with Sony come to an exceptional end; today, Sony makes way for a brand new three-game contract with another talented indie developer, Giant Sparrow. So the obvious question is; does the studio’s first game, The Unfinished Swan, have what it takes to compete with the best of the PlayStation Network?
PlayStation Mobile finally launched a few weeks ago, which offers developers a new opportunity to release their games on both PS Vita and selected Android devices. One of the service’s launch titles is Underline, a fast-paced word game from Albino Pixel.
PS3 Attitude recently talked with Dave Allanson, Technical Director of Albino Pixel, about his latest game, his thoughts on PlayStation Mobile, and future projects of the York-based studio.
The recent release of LittleBigPlanet on PlayStation Vita has opened the floodgates for massive franchises to appear on the system, with the heavyweights of Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty to follow very soon. The Vita could always do with more games though, so we’ve been discussing which franchises we’d most like to see on Sony’s fledgling handheld.

The Lyon-based Arkane Studios has previously worked on BioShock 2, and its new game, Dishonored, has more than a little in common with that series. From the first-person view to the supernatural powers and stylised visuals, many aspects of Dishonored feel familiar, so have we seen it all before, or does it have enough fresh ideas to stand on its own?

We’ve compiled a list of five genuine innovations that have truly revolutionised gaming, and show no signs of going away. And no, this article doesn’t include motion controls or instrument-shaped dust collectors.
Blockbuster games cost a lot of money to make, so publishers are understandably cautious about taking any design risks. Thankfully, taking risks is where downloadable games absolutely shine, and the reason why they’re often much more innovative than big retail games. Listed below are five of our favourite PSN games, due to their incredible ingenuity, ambition and creativity.
With addictive titles such as Treasures of Montezuma Blitz and Frobisher Says!, gamers can hardly move for free games on PS Vita right now. You can never have too many free games though, so Sony has announced that another one is arriving on the PS Store tomorrow, entitled Ecolibrium.
