We may still be waiting for a disc-free solution to Netflix on the PS3, but news has come that the current software has received an upgrade.

The PlayStation 3 is the first console to now support search on the service, making it far easier to find the movie or TV show you want amongst the 10,000+ content available.

It’s another week of minimal content on the European PlayStation Store. However we do see the return of Earthworm Jim in HD which has to be the highlight for us. It’s also great to see a couple of classics in the form of Rayman 2 and Pong!

Although we’ll probably pass on pong despite how iconic it is, Rayman 2 for £3.99/€4.99 is certainly a good buy and will bring back great memories for some.

Fancy PlayStation branded underwear? PlayStation shoes? Or how about PlayStation deodorant? Well that just might be possible as Sony has announced that they are expanding the official license program to non-console items.

Rights to the iconic logo and the triangle, circle, cross and square combination will be distributed to other manufacturer products in a move that is likely designed to bring more brand awareness.

Alice: Madness Returns announced with trailer

Electronic Arts and Spice Horse Games have announced Alice: Madness Returns, a sequel to the 2000 PC classic American McGee’s Alice, will be releasing on the PlayStation 3 next year.

The game is set eleven years after the original – which conveniently happens to be the same years since the first game released – and sees the well known protagonist leaving an asylum but continues to suffer from her “nightmarish visions”.

Joe Danger is one of the biggest new games on the PlayStation Store, and today the developers have been at the Develop Conference 2010 where they revealed some interesting statistics for the title.

Despite the high development costs that developers face for games on the PlayStation 3, Hello Games’ Managing Director Sean Murray revealed that the game broke even on the day of release.
