You might recall we announced the news that LittleBigPlanet will see the ability to import images from the PS3’s hard-drive “before Christmas”. You may also have seen the denials.

A new firmware turned up this morning, and on the face of it the update doesn’t appear to do much. But is the update related to LittleBigPlanet in some way?

Talking at GameCity in Nottingham today, Alex Evans was asked about the lack of image import in LittleBigPlanet.
The news? He confirmed that this was only pulled from the release of the game because of time constraints, and that the image import tool would be released by Christmas.
