Knytt Underground is one of those games that I regret having waited so long to play. It only came out right before the holiday season kicked off, but has been so much fun that I would have probably forgotten about being with my family. Normally I would say that about a Battlefield or Uncharted game, but a downloadable indie game?
2012 was full of surprise gems, hits, and blockbusters. Pid is one of those surprise gems that will likely go unnoticed on the PlayStation Store. Maybe because of the name, or because Indie developers like …
Every week, we share what new games are newly available for PS3, Vita, and sometimes PSP. Full PS3 disc-based games often turn into digital downloads, new PSN titles from respected long running franchises as well as indie gems, and minis for days.
In preparation for BioShock Infinite’s March 26, 2013 release, Irrational Games has announced a compilation of all previously released BioShock content in a single packaged dubbed the BioShock: Ultimate Rapture Edition. This past year has been one filled with a broad array of impressive games. Both disc-only and downloadable exclusives have proven to offer some of the highest quality entertainment we’ve ever experienced. But only one …
As a huge lover of JRPG’s, it only makes sense that my game of the year choice is a JRPG. Tales of Graces f is a game that I had been interested in for a long time before I actually purchased it, and I wished I had bought it earlier.
Although this was an extremely hard choice to make, hopefully I can explain to you, and myself, as to why I love this game so much.
2012 has had its fair share of ups and downs within the gaming community, and since the world didn’t end last week, we’re picking our favorites out of the year. Stefhutch20 kicked things off yesterday with a tribute to his favorite release, Final Fantasy XIII-2.
While there have been some strong contenders for my personal choice for Game of the Year such as Journey or Borderlands 2, none have impressed me more than Spec Ops: The Line. From its immersive story to its strong gameplay, Spec Ops: The Line has left a lasting impression on me, enough that it has claimed my pick for Game of the Year.
As we rapidly approach the end of the current console generation, it should have come as no surprise that 2012 was a relatively quiet year in the world of videogames. Even so, we were still treated to tons of great titles including highly anticipated sequels such as Mass Effect 3 and Black Ops 2, new IPs like Kingdoms of Amalur and Sleeping Dogs, and let’s not forget the launch of the PlayStation Vita!
However, since the start of the year there has been only one contender that could ever hope to earn the title of my own personal game of the year: Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Come join us once a week where we prove that our spare time isn’t entirely consumed by pounding away at a keyboard, but also by mashing the buttons of our DualShock 3s and Vitas. What …
The first trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has been revealed and it’s shaping up to be very different to previous instalments, but if there’s one thing that will never change in the Final Fantasy universe, it’s the brilliant costume designs.
We’ll be the first to admit that we were extremely disappointed by last year’s Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, which felt like a real misstep for the franchise. But then earlier this year the HD Trilogy came along, to remind us of exactly why we fell in love with R&C in the first place. So can Ratchet & Clank: QForce also rekindle our fondness for the series, or is it another All 4 One?
The PlayStation Network has its fair share of awesome games, but so do many other digital distribution services like Steam and Xbox Live. This week PS3 Attitude has been discussing which of those titles we’d like to see come to PSN. The downloadable games market has been thriving in the last few years, so it was very difficult to choose just five, but we got there in the end!
The Netherlands-based indie developer Vlambeer was founded in 2010 by Rami Ismail and Jan Willem Nijman, after they dropped out of game design university. Since then the duo has released a plethora of original games, arguably the most famous of which is the awesome Super Crate Box. Back in October, the fiendishly difficult platformer was ported to PlayStation Mobile, so PS3 Attitude recently spoke with Rami about Vlambeer, Super Crate Box and his thoughts on PS Mobile.
Founded in November 2011, Crash Lab is a brand new British studio founded by three industry veterans formerly of Free Radical Design and Rare Ltd. October saw the release of their awesome PS Mobile launch game Twist Pilot, and recently PS3 Attitude had an opportunity to talk with the team’s Managing Director Steve Ellis about Crash Lab, their games and PSM.

Founded over ten years ago, London-based developer Playerthree has worked on more projects than we can ever hope to count. In October, the studio released puzzle game Loot the Land as part of the PlayStation Mobile launch, and last week saw the arrival of their first full PSN game, Chronovolt, exclusively on PS Vita. Luigi Fumero, Development Director at Playerthree, recently took some time to talk to PS3 Attitude about their games, PSM, PS Vita, and a hint at what’s to come.
Marvel Pinball tables have typically been about heroes versus villains; good against evil. The Civil War story arc throws that out the window and pits superheroes Captain America and Iron Man against each other in a heated battle over the introduction of the Superhuman Registration Act. This time around, it’s not about what mission to complete but more so about whose side you’re on…
There are at least a dozen titles for 5 Games That articles floating around PS3 Attitude at any one time, so this week we thought we’d dig out one of our more obscure (read: crazy) ideas. Specifically, with winter very nearly upon us, we’ve been discussing five videogame characters’ coats we’d like to wear during this coldest of seasons (yeah, told you it was obscure).
Since the launch of the PlayStation Vita, it has contended with a constant barrage of criticism, from analysts who simply cannot see a future for Sony’s latest handheld console. Indeed, in an age when consumers have become familiar with paying 59p for mobile games, encouraging them to spend £40 instead, albeit for a superior experience, is proving to be an uphill struggle.
